Touch of Death from Shriek Show 4/26

I see that it's listed as having Italian audio w/ English subs. I hope an English language track is included, as the old EC disc contained Italian, English, and French soundtracks. I really liked this movie, but I'll only upgrade if there's an English track on the disc and, of course, if the quality is an improvement over EC's dvd.

Great film, one of my favorite Fulci Films. Sure it is one of his later works and some seem put off by his efforts at the end of his career, but I think the opposite. I'm curious to see what SS does with this one when compared to the pretty pathetic EC disc.

Halsey is excellent in his role. Some very cool death scenes and some funny moments sprinkled in. Damn, now I'm in the mood to pop this one in.

I remember that Don May of Synapse refused to release this because the original elements were never found and they only had access to some shitty material. Has that changed in any way? It is a good film and if it gets the usual Fulci treatment from SS, this is a blind buy!

Well ki have the Ec disc, and as a Fulci fanatic I still feel that that EC disc may do me fine unless there are some substantial extras. I know the Ec image qulaity is not the best, but I think its ok enough for this film which is fun but not one of faves from Fulci.

Well that's never stopped Shriek Show. Their more recent stuff (that i've seen) has been better but for a while they had quite an "whatever's on the shelf" mentality. Expect the legitimacy of my statement to be diminised by claims of anti-shriek show bandwagonism.

Apparently a better print was found, so hopefully this will look pretty good. I always passed on the EC release; here's hoping this is worth the wait.
