We've got another masterpiece by Uwe Boll, ALONE IN THE DARK, and a supernatural horror film with Bobby De Niro, HIDE AND SEEK. Which one will you be seeing, if any?
Niether. I'm gonna see Hotel Rwanda and Million Dollar Baby instead.

I'm seeing Alone in the Dark with my boyfriend just for some brainless action and some laughs. There are a few other movies I want to see like Million Dollar Baby, Assault on Precinct 13, and Hotel Rwanda. Hotel and Baby aren't in any theaters near me yet.

Niether interests me enough to pay $8.50 a ticket.

Niether. Though I am mildly interested in Hide and Seek, mainly because I did not expect it to get an R rating. Maybe if I am really bored.

Neither, although if pressed HIDE AND SEEK would be more preferable.
I will probably wait until they both come out on DVD before I see any of them. If I did go see one it would be Alone in the Dark because I think it is based on the PC game series.

Neither, although I'm sure I'll check them both out eventually on DVD. Hide & Seek looks the better of the two, and could turn out decent. I'm a big fan of DeNiro, but his last horror outing was a piece of crap.....

Exactly. :)
After HOUSE OF THE DEAD, I will never knowingly waste a single penny on anything to do with that wanker.

I will probably go see Hide and Seek just to support horror theatrical releases, but I wouldn't have gone if it had nabbed the oh-so-coveted PG-13. Both of the last two PG-13's I have seen have absolutely sucked HARD (Darkness and White Noise). I am surprised that Alone in the Dark is just listed with "violence" with the gore shots in the latest Fangoria and not "strong or graphic violence or gore". I still think I may divert at the last minute and see Precinct instead, though.

Precinct 13 was awesome just to let you know.

Well, "Alone In The Dark" looks much more promising than "House Of The Dead", but not enough to warrant paying any price, be it a ticket or a rental. I think I'll be staying away from both of these movies. In fact, I only saw 2 movies ("Dawn Of The Dead" and "Jersey Girl") in theatres all of last year.

I will probably see them both eventually. I am excited about Alone in the Dark though. Can Uwe make a movie as bad as House of the D ead? I can only hope.

I know it's not horror, but "A Very Long Engagement" is now in my town and I'll be checking that one out for sure!
