Anyone know if Saw is being released with a bonus disc from Best Buy/Futureshop?

I'd assume yes from this: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=0&sku_id=0665000FSM2081704&catid=&newdeptid=13

Those futureshop bonus discs usually suck, still it's cool to get stuff for free.

Isn't the film itself bad enough without even more "features"?

After seeing an ad in a future shop flyer, it appears the bonus disc will have stuff from "The Devils Rejects", and "Haute Tension". :)

cool...I've heard nothing of Haute Tension save seeing the title on here (but never reading the posts)

Haute Tension is absolutely fantastic. Best use of furniture in a deathscene ever!!!!
Too bad it is stained by being a preview on a crap flick like SAW. I look forward to Devils Rejects but definitely catch High Tension. It's being released NC-17 here in the States.
Once again I shall relate that I was at the cast and crew premiere and the audience, many jaded horror fans, actually laughed at saw in front of the c&c. Laughed outright at how much it stank. I'm a little disappointed at how much Lion's Gate got behind it and yet waited so long to release H.T. Oh well, made money on the chumps I guess.

According to the new Fangoria magazine the new SAW DVD is very incomplete. Existing unused scenes are talked about in the commentary and aren't present on the DVD in the deleted scenes. Other things that should be on the DVD are curiously missing as well.

I bought it cuz my GF just loved the movie, I liked it plenty but was gonna wait for a SE or un-cut. Haven't watched the extra disc yet but it looks like it will be 5 minutes long, just a teaser and clip from each movie.
We did watch the Saw movie but none of the extras. I was happy with it, the DTS track was really nice and the movie is fun.

i bought it and loved it but i do still hate the fact that i have to buy the r2version and plus those music videos are stupid.

I'm sure glad I rented it and didn't buy it. A 2+ minute making of featurette, and no deleted scenes? Sheesh! :eek2:

the featurette was two minutes i havent even looked at it yet

it's funny. the one I bought doesn't say it has any deleted scenes on it... so how can people be disappointed that they aren't on there. It's not like they lied to you and told you there were deleted scenes and there really aren't. It's not like the H20 DVD that advertises a commentary with Jaime Lee Curtis and doesn't really have it.

Unrated 'Saw' DVD with THE Short Film Coming!?

Although promises cannot be made, I've been told by people highly involved in the DVD that the short film that James Wan and Leigh Whannell made to pitch their feature film debut Saw could be making it's way onto a special edition version of the film, which would be released later this year (maybe around the time of Saw 2?). The reason no promises can be made is because the film did not star Leigh Whannell and deals need to be made with the people involved in the short to get it released safely- without a lawsuit. But there is a longer and gorier cut out there, but to be honest it's not much different. At least it's more than the 'American Psycho' DVD, which had like .10 seconds more of Christian Bale naked to make it unrated.

The bonus features on the disc are slim pickings, I don't think anyone said anything about a package misinterpretation. But in a way, they do mention deleted scenes in the commentary absent from the disc features, so some might feel cozened by that.

I absolutely hate that! Nothing more annoying than listening to a commentary and they keep talking about all these cut scenes then don't put on the dvd for you to check out after the movie. If they're not on the dvd, just shut the fuck up about them! I probably won't bother with the commentary on Saw for this reason. The absolute worst is when they keep talking about em and the disc has deleted scenes on it, but not the ones they mention and you want to see cuz they sounded so cool when being talked about. :fuck:

I love Boogie Nights, but both seem like pretenious assholes to me, esp. P. T. :(
Then again, at least he doesn't have 2 middle initials. That just kills me.

my friend bought it. the first thing we watched, though, was the bonus disc with the devil's rejects preview and high tension. Devil's Rejects looks amazing. It looks completely different from House of 1,000 Corpses.

I just watched that bonus disc and while I agree Devil's Rejects looks sweet, I can't get over how much of a worthless dvd the extra disc is.
It says it has teasers and clips from both films, WRONG! It has a clip from each. High Tension is 2:30 and anamorphic, DR is 3:30 and not anamorphic. 6 fucking minutes? Amazing waste of space. I guess it goes up to about 6 and a half if you count the forced FBI warnings.
This makes the Dawn of the Dead 04 bonus look good. I thought that was the most useless bonus disc ever, but the torch has been passed. They should've just used a mini-dvd for this, or I'm sure there's a couple extra MB on the movie disc where this could've easily fit. :fuck:

Futureshop in Montreal has about two dozen Saw dvds with the bonus disc at 18.99$. They also have about two dozen without the bonus disc, I guess this dvd isn't selling too briskly.

Are the Devil's Rejects and High Tension trailers only on the bonus disc. I borrowed the movie from a co-worker and couldn't find them anywhere. Not too big of a deal, just wondering since I had heard so much about them being on the dvd.

Just on the bonus disc and it's more preview clips, not trailers
