According to Mondo Digital's Februari update the Giallo Collection Pt.2 will now only have four discs??
What the f***??
The Giallo Collection, Box 2 (Blue Underground/Ryko) includes Forbidden Photos of a Lady Under Suspicion, The Girl with the Yellow Pajamas, Seven Deaths in the Cat's Eye, Strip Nude for Your Killer
Where the hell is Bird?Anyone know if this is true?

Yeah, I read something elsewhere. Bird proved a hotter title, so it's coming seperately.

I like this idea better. The first collection only had four discs, plus, it'll keep the price down. I'm also not sure I need to upgrade from my VCI edition of BIRD.

I agree.
But when will Bird be released now?
Would love to see a SE of it with a second disc loaded with extras.

Since I was one of those that decried the decision to include Bird at the time of that annoucement, obviously this sits well with me. Mind you, I'd much rather they add another title to replace it. There's no reason for this box to be stuck at four movies like the last set was, the more the merrier I say. Cost? Well, honestly, this is such a compelling title, ten bucks here or there isn't going to change things one way or the other to me.

Sure, the original box was put together by Blue underground when they released their material through AB... now they don't. Still, box 2 - box 1 - I just want more.

Will the official title actually be "Giallo Collection Part 2"?
The first wasn't called "Part 1" in the first place.

I wouldn't really believe that website due to the fact that they have Yakuza Papers listed as a TBA. When we all know it came out in the end of last year.
If they can mess up on that, who knows what else is wrong.

From what I've read, this BIRD will be transferred from the original negative and feature interviews with Argento and Eva Renzi.More info is forthcoming.

So? Most first parts of series aren't actually called "Part 1". The first Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th films, for example, don't actually say "Part 1" on the title screen.

BU didn't call their spaghetti western box "part 2" but "once upon a time in italy", so this time the're maybe going for Death Laid a DVD....

Dude, Once Upon Time In Italy was released by Anchor Bay and Not BU. Trust me, I have that collection. BU released a totally different box called The Spaghetti Western Box.

It's an AB limited edition - therefore, around 2010 (with several "reissues" and "repackages" in the mean time).

The Giallo Collection Part 2 seems to be very thin....
It would be better if they released all titles separately!

Although not part of the "Giallo Collection" (AFAIK),here's a nice review of "The Fifth Cord" (http://www.hysteria-lives.co.uk/hysterialives/Hysteria/fifth_cord.htm) (the movie, not the upcoming DVD)
Especially this quote got me interested http://horrordvds.com/vb3forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif:
But Bazzoni only seems really interested in it as a vehicle for trying to break the consistency of every possible continuos action and creating memorable visuals in the style of Dario Argento and Michelangelo Antonioni.
Opinions are different on this one and I'm very looking forward to BU's release of it!
Whether released as part of the Giallo collection or not, this will be mine as well as all those other BU Gialli.

I found this at the DVDManiacs Forum:
.........Just got some literature on the Blind Dead set from BU's table at the San Diego Comic Book Convention..... *SNIP*.....
Asked about the "Giallo Box 2." There are like seven titles and they will ONLY be available as stand alone titles. No box.
So these must be the first six titles then:
The Bird With The Crystal Plumage 2DVD SE
The Fifth Cord
Forbidden Photos Of A Lady Above Suspicion
The Pyjama Girl Case
Seven Deaths In The Cat's Eye
Strip Nude For Your Killer
So any idea which should be number seven??Death Laid An Egg comes to mind and I'm still (wishful) thinking Four Flies On Grey Velvet.
Could ofcourse also mean they counted Bird as two discs?

I still have yet to get the first box. It's just so hard for me to order something and wait for it as opposed to having it in my hands and taking it home with me. Bird With The Crystal Plummage is "must-have" for me just because it's Argento so I'll get that, no doubt about it. If they were all released in a box, I'd get it for sure. But since apparently it's not going to be, I'll wait for reviews and see which ones I want. I think they should release them as a box and stand-alone as well, but... whatever.

I quote this from M Crist at dvdmaniacs.net:
Forgive me if this was covered already. Just got some literature on the Blind Dead set from BU's table at the San Diego Comic Book Convention and it looks like the first two movies will be 1.66:1 and the second two are 1.85:1, which should all be OAR. Also Spanish and English audio choices on all.
Also asked them about what happened to ONE DARK NIGHT. They couldn't get acceptable elements, so it's not gonna happen.
Asked about the "Giallo Box 2." There are like seven titles and they will ONLY be available as stand alone titles. No box.
I heard this from different sources, so it sound like we donīt get no boxed set...
