The Suckling?

Alright, I just bought the latest issue of Rue Morgue, and they're running a full page ad for a new DVD coming from Elite (www.elitedisc.com - and f*ck them for having a web site with an annoying sign-up and no info).

The Suckling sure sounds ... interesting. Surely someone here knows something about it:

An unconsenting girl is drugged, her baby aborted and the fetus is flushed down the toilet. The baby, exposed to toxic waste, regenerates and transforms into a very vengeful mutant. Using its umbilical cord as a deadly tentacle and its razor sharp arms as claw-like weapons, the mutant begins to wreak absolute chaos. It transforms the house into a womb like cocoon, surrounded by an airtight mucus membrane, from which there is no escape.

The tag line is "He'll always be..... Mommy's little mutant"

So how about it - anyone know this one?

Its low budget shows, but overall I remember this being a grisly and entertaining little movie. One of the better indies of the 90s. I am planning on picking one up.

I remember watching this one years ago and it kinda stuck in my head for some reason, most likely the whorehouse/hookers trash angle. From what I recall the movie was pretty bad in most respects, and the budget was next to nothing. I still had a good time laughing while watching it though. I really can't remember if I rented it, or if it was somehow on late-night cable. I might have to pick this one up to see it again...

Here's my review:

Pregnant Girl and her boyfriend visit a back alley brothel/abortion "clinic" to get rid off her unborn child. The aborted fetus ends up in the sewer, gets drizzled with Toxic waste (A few cans of Toxic waste dumped right behind the brothel, how convenient! :D ) and mutates into a huge baby monster creature with large fangs and some sort of stinger coming out it's navel. The girl, the boy and a bunch of whores, pimps and customers get trapped in the brothel and die one by one through the hands (or stinger) of the monster ...

Solid cheese, this silly creature feature makes a fun watch. Stuff to expect:

Halloween-Theme rip off music
Four boobs
Three flashbacks
One fist fight
One decapitation
One exploding head
One electrocution
One suicide
Gun-fu
Switchblade-fu
throat slashing
scalpel to the stomach slashing

Mold Award nomination (Best Actress) goes to "Candy" (unknown actress), a 40 year old chain smoking slut who had three abortions and sporting a blonde new wave-ish hairdoo for saying "You wouldn't know bullshit if you were standing underneath a bull" and "It's a lot easier fucking through a condom!"

Finally watched this last night (two years after starting the thread!)

Anyway, I enjoyed it for what it is - super low budget monster flick. They don't really overcome the lack of budget, and they spent ALL their money on the monster FX - which I enjoyed. Lots of bad acting, bad scenes, bad dialog, and a horrible set. Pretty damn good for what it is - worthy, a 6.
