Does anyone know if the Porno Holocaust dvd that Media Blasters was supposed to have out on 4/12 has been cancelled? It's not available from any of the places that have it listed still, and some online stores I've noticed don't even list it anymore. I was looking forward to this one, but looks like it may no longer be coming out, just wanted to see if anyone had any definite information on this.
There are two DVD versions of it already, why not just get one of them?

Xploited Cinema has the Shriek Show one instock now. Link (http://www.xploitedcinema.com/dvds/dvds.asp?title=4658)
Looks like it only has an interview, photo gallery and trailer for extras, so I'm not going to bother upgrading from the one I already own.

I wonder if anything is screwed up on the release. After the Hell High and Warlock Moon screw-ups, I really am beginning to dislike the company. I am very wary now of any "Uncut" claims from Shriek Show.

Is this film any good? I was a tad disappointed in Emanuelle in America, to tell the truth... how is Porno Holocaust in comparison to that?

I guess it depends on what aspects of Emanulle in America disappointed you, right? After already seeing this film, if I didn't already own another version I would buy this release.
I liked EIA better, but I did find this pretty entertaining and better then Erotic Nights of the Living Dead by a good margin. This had some pretty entertaining violence and really good music. Plus I liked the "monster" in this one alot, I thought he made for some good fun.

Okay, I'll probably pick it up sometime... sounds rather fun. :)

I beg any rational human being, horror fan, etc. to NOT buy this movie. It's got to be one of the worst examples of Italian "horror" of all time. I remember when I would read all the bootleg video catalogs before the DVD-era began and be totally suckered into thinking it was going to be this great, sleazy 'n fun gore/porn fest...only to find myself watching the cinematic equivalent of a dog taking a shit on cat puke. Avoid at all costs. Even completists should avoid this. I'd rather watch BLOOD FREAK on a loop instead of watching even 1 second of this film.
Thanks...I now leave you to make up your own minds. :)

Hairy ass black big-cock monster fekking his way on the island. Hitting girls unconscious, and getting them on from behind. Fekk them to death!
Actually, bad as a porn, bad as a movie. But PICK IT UP. George Eastman!
It's the worst movie of all time, but people love bad movies, so there you go. The best part is the title, the movie itself is utter shit and that is why people love it.

And this ended our night of movie watching. Not intentionally, it just sort of cleared the room and we all wanted to give up. So we switched to Whisky and went the way of fuzzy headed losers.
Porno Holocaust? Well, the question is, does it deliver on the Porno side AND on the Holocaust side? Well, there's Porno, and lots of it. Lots and lots of it. And each scene takes a minimum of 6 minutes per. And yes, we did begin timing them. The above post states: "the sex scenes are more explicit. There arn't that many either", I disagree, there is a LOT of sex here.
The sex is really routine too. The guys have their script, they follow it, time and time again. It's not fun to watch, and it's definately NOT sexy. In fact, after seeing all their friends killed, and taking off into the deep sea with no oars nor fuel for their motor, the two survivors.... well, there's always a chance for one last sex scene, huh? This was one of the best laugh moments since we'd called it moments before.
On the Holocaust side it fails miserably. A couple bits of nothing gore, but that side of things just never develops at all.
Youc an find some things to laugh about, I'd quote a classic line that includes the words "ream" and "sore" and "weeks" but that would above the realms of good taste. Made us laugh though.
As a film this is dire overall though. I've never seen Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, but we did see the trailer, and it seems to have more Zombie action. This one had basically none.
Bad film this, and not in a good way.

Both Porno Holocaust and Erotic Nights are bad films. Erotic nights is only a touch better, but still not worth the time in the end.
I do agree, the ending on the boat had me laughing, as I too called it when I watched it.
