bloody disgusting has posted 2 new reviews for the upcoming house of wax remake. not only do they say its pretty gory/disturbing, which is suprising since its rated R for only horror violence, but they say paris hilton does a good job in it

Well, one of them says Paris does a good job, the other seems more mixed and, I quote, "Her acting? She forgot to scream, she more or less yelps- she's been dragging that f'n dog with her a little too much if you ask me." Heh. They both seem to agree that if you can get through the first hour, it is worth the payoff so hmm. Interesting. I will for sure check it out, although whether or not it will be at the theater, DVD, or Netflix is yet to be determined. I only wish there was a new release of House of Wax coming out right about now with a free movie ticket, but that would be the perfect solution.
All I want is for this to be better than Gothika. That isn't too much to ask. I hope.

yeah, I must say after the Amityville set, I think I'm addicted to the idea of free tickets with inexpensive dvd sets. especially for films I'm not too sure about watching....well, i think I will see HOW in theatres, partially because i want a movie to see in theatres.

Gothika is the only Dark Castle movie that has let me down so far (13 Ghosts on first viewing was less than impressive, but it's grown on me since).
I don't House think has any possibility of being worse. I'm actually looking forward to it and think it will be good (I haven't read any reviews so as not to spoil anything. :D I already know Paris is dead cuz her name is too low in the credits.)

Anyone who reads Fangoria and wishes to see this film should steer clear of the latest issue. They carelessly spoil a major plot point in this movie.

another review is up over at dread central. this review said he was suprised with how many gory scenes in the film got away with an R rating. if this is true, wat is up with the R for "horror violence"?? shouldn't it be like R for "strong violence/gore" or something like that
Hey, Paul0889, where's your avatar from??

I think it's from House of Wax. ;)
Oh really? Hehehe, then I guess I have to admit that I'm curious :p
I was going to boycott the film due to the dubious casting choices, but I've been hearing only good things about it lately ... can't watch the trailer at work, though ... so i'll probably go in a virgin ;)
And just to be annoying I must say that I really liked Gothika. Even bought it for a ridiculous amount of money. It looked great! And had some cool creepy moments.
