No gore that I recall, but very funny in a crude kinda way.

Horsehead bookends!!!

Yeah the only really gory thing about the movie is the janitor, just looking at him freaks me out.

I wish this would get a DVD release, it cracks me up everytime I see it.

"And a message to the killer, haven't we had enough of this senseless killing? How about committing a murder that makes sense."

I thought it tried a little too hard to be "Clever!" Nothing was subtle at all, everything was so loud and over-the-top, I almost wanted to mute it midway through. It does have some decent bits though, especially the HALLOWEEN/WHEN A STRANGER CALLS beginning. It's been awhile, but if there isn't all that much gore there is some other objectionable stuff in there, since it certainly isn't tame. Doesn't the killer ejaculate on the girl over the phone, or something of that nature? At any rate, it pales in comparison with better slasher subversions like SCREAM and SCARY MOVIE. I wonder if Paramount will ever release it on DVD?

I remember the killer talking through a rubber chicken to disguise his voice, he could have ejaculated on someone.

Hilarious flick, second only to Club Dread as far as comedic takes on slashers go. This one has really awesome cover art too. Hopefully Paramount will finally put this one out on DVD this year, although I'm sure they'd make new art for the release. Hope I'm wrong on that one though, because that cover simply rules.

Not gory, but hilarious!! A great relic of the 80s that deserves a decent DVD release. Until then, I'll have to stick with my DVD-R copy of the VHS tape!!

Haven't seen this in over 10 years, but remember it being funny as hell.
Since Club Dread is my new/current favorite movie, I've been thinking of renting or dl'ing this since no legit dvd exists to see how it holds up.

Of course it's good, best horror spoof ever in my opinion.

This is the movie the pathetic Scary Movie and Club Dread wishes it was.

I have a copy that I recorded from Cinemax. It has a few glitches towards the end (cable cut out late at night, go figure!) but I am basically happy with the transfer and such. I still wish this would get a Paramount release.

That's a blast from the past. I enjoyed it when I was a kid. Would like to see it again. "Horsehead Bookends" :p

Aside from the part where the announcer interupts the movie to say "Fuck You!" in order to push the rating from PG to R, I didn't think it was funny at all.

I remember not liking this movie very much, when I rented the tape many many years ago.
However, times have changed and I'd be interested to revisit Student Bodies again - if Paramount ever release it on DVD.

I thought the mothers reaction to the dishes not being washed, the TV still on, and the food being eaten "for 75 cents an hour!!!!!", and her reaction to the dead body was a laugh and a half. I especially enjoyed her coming up to the mother of the victim at the funeral and giving her what her daughter was supposed to have earned " 65 cents an hour"

With The Stick as...Malvert the Janitor. "Malvert pee red!!!"

1981 was a good year. "Student Bodies" was followed in quick succession by "Pandemonium" (a funnier film) and "TAG: The Assassination Game".

How could you forget "TAG: The Assassination Game"?! It anticipated paintballing by a decade at least.

It was funny, yeah, some bits were corny, but still it's good for a laugh. Definetly good for its time. WAY ahead of Scary Movie. I know there's bootleg and Japanese DVD's of it on EBay that float around but I'd rather wait for an official release.
