I recently ordered this Margheriti classic.Hasn't arrived yet.
But I just found out that Sergio Corbucci (Django) and Ruggero Deodato both worked as co-director for this film.
Corbucci also as co-writer.
Just wanted to tell you http://horrordvds.com/vb3forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
No real big deal and perhaps most of you already knew it.
Oh,I will be so happy when this arrives!

I may have known, but forgot. It's been a while since I watched the DVD. :)
Hope you enjoy the movie. I would've preferred if we had the option to watch the entire movie with the french soundtrack. As I recall, it cuts back and forth between english and french. Good movie, though.

This film is good, but I liked Black Sunday better. If you can, check out Web of the Spider, the remake of Castle of Blood, made in color in 1970 by the same director, with Klaus Kinski as Poe.

Oh man, Web of the Spider is on one of the Brentwood packs I bought. Don't go expecting a decent print though.

I discovered that Deodato was an assistant cameraman for Corbucci for 14 years.
So that explains it.

It's really quite good. But then again, I bought the movie because Barbara Steele is in it, so I'm a bit biased. :p
