View Full Version : Shriek Show's Zombie pack
05-12-2005, 09:22 PM
Coming out June 14th with an MSRP of $19.99. Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007UVXCM/ref=ase_dvdaficionado/103-8722651-3972600?v=glance&s=dvd) has it for $17.95, I'm sure you can find it cheaper other places. Not a bad deal if you don't own the movies or whatever. Was it one of these movies that had the (ahem) great Jeff Stryker interview? If so, I'd say it's worth it just to see that.
Zombie 3 (1983), 4 (1988) & 5(1987) Zombi 3-Lucio Fulci's Follow up to Zombi 2 where a terrorist group exposes a vacation island to an experimental bio-war gas, turning people into flesh eating maniacs. Zombi 4 After Death-Returning to the island her parents were urdered a scientist and group of mercenaries accidentally raise the dead by angering a voodoo priest. Zombi 5: The Killing Birds-A group of collage kids exploring and island find themselves trapped in a house and surrounded by the vengeful Living Dead of a murder long passed. With special guest Star Robert Vaughn! The three discs are packed with gory special effects and loads of Bonus materials!!!

yeah, i'll pick that up.

I don't know. I haven't seen any of them, but from what I remember hearing about these movies, they could retail the price at half that and it'd still be a hard sell to me.

Deep Discount has this up for less than $12 ............. shit man along with the 20% coupon in June you'll be able to get this for next to nothing!!!

I already own Part 3 and 4, and Part 5 was okay, so I will pass on this box set.

Part 4 has the interview with Jeff Stryker...and it's a real gem!!! "We were all just kinda FREAKED OUT...(huh-huh-huh)"
05-12-2005, 11:36 PM
That price meakes it VERY hard to pass up. I pretty much hate 3 and 4 so I never picked up any of those DVD's. At that price, it's worth a second chance.

I alreadly own 4 but i've been meaning to pick up 3 so I'll definitely go for the boxset.

I picked up part 3 second hand for a few bucks and thought it was rather good, in a cheesy way. I'll be picking up this set, you can't beat that price.

Thanks for the heads up Jeff, but I don't need this set as I already own 'em all. 3 & 4 are good and cheesy but 5....uh!

I'll be buying as well. Price is just too good to say no.
Great price... bad movies, LOL! What to do, what to do ;)

It's going for $13.70 CDN at DVDsoon (http://www.dvdsoon.com/show-title-details.xml?uid=219902). Great price for cheese.

Definitely getting this, thanks for reminding me DefJeff. At that price I simply can't resist!

I'll pick it up, eventually. 3 was not all bad, it did have some good moments. 4 sucked but I kinda liked it anyways in an alcohol induced trace and those Stryker interviews were a good finish. Never seen part 5, cool!
I'm in, I haven't seen any of these yet and the price is right.

3 is pretty funny...I'd probably get this if I didn't own 3 already. I didn't like 4 much.
05-13-2005, 05:09 AM
Yeah, I posted this in some other thread on here a couple weeks back. I never bought any of the stand alone DVD's...so I'll pick it up at DDD when it comes out.

I have each of the films, so obviously this is a low priority. Mind you, I nevr did get around to getting a "fixed" Zombie 3 (with commentary) so this isn't too bad I suppose.
Zombi 3 is classic, I reckon. Zombi 4is better after multiple viewings. The first time through you'll probably be disapointed. By scond, third and fourth time, the cheese has really matured - believe me. Zombi 5.... is.... the weakest link.

Very nice, and to think I almost got these all as cheap as I could find 'em... would have cost me 75 bucks. Now I'll probably get them all for 30. So happy I have been putting them off. I always thought sooner or later Shriek Show would do something like this with their older releases.

Now that's what I call a bargain!!

I'll keep an eye out for this set, as I don't own any of these.
Thanks for posting this Jeff :)
Now I've finally got some incentive to go out and buy these. :p
