With official announcement of an upcoming Val Lewton box set close on the horizon for Warner Brothers, lets take the time to rank his impressive catalogue of forties horror films that proved that it wasn't just Universal who could make quality American horror movies. Will it be CAT PEOPLE, GHOST SHIP, ZOMBIE? You decide!

I voted for The Body Snatcher, although I haven't seen half of them. I'm definitely getting the box set, considering I Walked With a Zombie is worth the price alone, as I've wanted to see this for some time.

Cat People is timeless. IMO even better than any of the Universal horrors of the same era.

I went with The Body Snatcher but I've seen Isle of the Dead, Cat People, The Leopard Man and I Walked With a Zombie and I loved each and every one of them so It was a hard choice. I've been looking foward to this set for a few years now. Lewton saved horror in the 40's IMO.

I voted I Walked with a Zombie. I've also seen Cat People and Bedlam, both of which are also fantastic.

Cat People. Man oh man, where is this dvd? Beautiful and all the performances are great. Love the sequel too.
