It was supposed to be packed with extras, but Universal decided to not give us what we want. I decided to just stick with my Goodtimes DVD of it instead. And that's the version I would recommend for the time being. It doesn't have any special features, but it's Widescreen and the picture and sound quality is great. The Goodtimes version is 10 bucks. The Universal version will be the exact same except it'll have a trailer and it'll be I think 25 bucks. In my opinion a trailer isn't worth an extra 15 bucks. The only way I'll buy another Halloween 2 DVD is if someone gives us what we want with a lot of extras. Otherwise I'm keeping my Goodtimes DVD.

I second that! The Goodtimes DVD may lack extras, but it has a nicely made menu 'n' whatnot! Better than anything Image has made!

Universal dropped the ball on Halloween II. The Goodtimes disc is the one to get.

I never thought it could be possible to design cover art worse than the GoodTimes Halloween 2 release, but Universal's cover art is horrible! I am in a predicament now though, because I passed on the GoodTimes disc, and for some reason it sells for more than the Universal one in Canada. Ho hum.

Those of us with 16:9 sets WILL BENEFIT
from the new anamorphic transfer.
A loaded SE would have been nice.
The non-anamorphic transfer on the Goodtimes
version is okay at best. The Universal release
is a far better transfer. Those of you with 16:9
sets should upgrade to the new edition.
