Since MGM put out the original region 4 disc and this box set is from Universal, maybe the original has received a long overdue remaster.
The box, which is similar to the region 2-4 box, does look kinda cool. :glasses:

Is that going to be the unrated Seed? This is quite interesting, but all these movies are nailed in my memory so I think I can wait until the US companies get their shit straightened out to release a R1 box set. I'll probably just wait for something like this to hit American shores.

This release seems to have the original Child's Play in anamorphic widescreen which should allow many to breathe a sigh of relief. In fact, I very well might get this, but dammit I don't have the funds.

B. Ezydvd claims the R4 disc of Child's Play is 1.85:1 anamorphic

C. It's not. It's 1.85:1 yes, but not anamorphic.

I'm really surprised MGM didn't come out with a Special edition Child's Play during Seed Of Chuck'y theatrical run or when Seed was released on DVD. Perhaps this means we'll be getting it soon though. Sony owning MGM kinda leaves things up in the air.

I will so be getting this if they're all anamorphic. However, if Mattster is right (and I suspect he is) and it's just the old discs repackaged, then to hell with it.

So I emailed EzyDVD asking if they could confirm the 16:9. Never got a reply, but they have removed that bit from the description. Oh well.....

Think I'll wait for a region 1 set, unless I hear something more about this set that blows me away. Though I think I'm glad I held off buying any of the movies besides the original.
