the first one is a CLASSIC, the second one is a great COMEDY, i was just wanting part 3 for COLLECTION purposes. i sometimes like to watch BORING TRASH!

i'd like to see this released on dvd as well, but i openly admit, i am a texas chainsaw massacre completist, and that's really the only reason i want it. i've never seen the uncut version though, apparantly a lot got cut from it.....

Jeff Burr is okay. From A Whisper To A Scream/Offspring was good, The Stepfather 2 was good too - but I think he was shafted by the producer when he was brought in at the 11th hour for Texas 3. Once again, the studio screwed up Burr's direction & then tried to screw him up too. I had a composite version of this movie with all footage filmed. Quite interesting & some brutal shit in there, but it all disappeared when it was edited together.

Oh, and don't go near part 4 - utter trash. Leatherface looks like transvestite from Oprah. Really poor, money-hungry garbage from Kim Henkel

The LD special edition was great: uncut, 2 commentaries, original ending, deleted scenes, trailers, etc....

Let's hope this version makes it to DVD. (I too like boring trash).

Sign me up for a TCM 3 SE. I would buy the DVD in a heartbeat!:D
