I love Tom Savini, but there is a reason why Rick Baker has 6 Academy Awards (Apes will surely be his 7th).

Yeah, I think Rick Baker is the best. But I loved him before I knew that he had Oscar's on his mantle.

What about Stan Winston and Screaming Mad George?

i just knew someone would ask why not those dudes.
i just want to know how poeple feel with two of the best in there own line of work. cause lets face it they both employed horror but with a very different view. and thats what interest me the most.

Oh ok, I got ya. Then I'd go with Savini probably. I'm more familiar with his work. Plus he's got a school I want to go to. You know the one, it's on the back of the last 10 issues of Fangoria.

Peloquin, as you asked for best make-up artist, I too have to go with Baker. But here I make a distinction between make-up and f/x. Although the transformation in AWIL is certainly one of the best f/x sequences on film, I would consider Savini the better f/x artist.

i consider savini to more of a mcgiver type. he use simple but very effective tool to accomplish is art. lets be honnest this art that we are talking about and savinni knows all the skills of it that guy is full of simple but effective ideas.:D

My Bet goes to Rob Bottin and his work in the Thing which is totally awsome and also Carlo Ribaldi for His work in Possesion.
