I cannot seem to get EBAY's site to load!

Does anybody ever have any problems with getting certain websites to load. Lately I cannot seem to get Ebay to load at all. It used to work fine like two weeks ago but lately I cannot seem to get it to work at all. I am still on dial up but that never stopped me from getting on EBAY before. If you can help me I would much appreciate it. Thanks

Did you try it in a different web browser? I haven't been able to get Amazon's A9 search engine to load in IE all week, but it works just fine in Firefox.

Do a spyware check.

About three years ago I had a CoolWeb infection that blocked all geocities, angelfire, and tripod sites.

If you don't already have Adaware and Spybot, install them now and run them. (Both are available from download.com). Spyware Doctor is also supposed to be very good, but I'd advise against installing it because it had some pretty serious stability issues on my system, and it was impossible to uninstall properly.

Also, run Earthlink's Spyware audit here: http://www.earthlink.net/software/nmfree/spyaudit/ , it's free for all internet users, not just Earthlink subscribers. I've found this one to be very thorough. It will not, however, remove the programs. It'll just show you that they're there.
