Wal-Mart rip off

I went to Wal-Mart today to pick up Dead and Breakfast, and Malevolence until I relized that they were in just 2.0 surround and rated. I was confused so I went to Best Buy and they had them both there cheaper in unrated forms, and in 5.1 dolby digital. I also relized that the wal mart ones were missing a couple of special feature and a whole documentary on malevolence. Wal-Mart is turning out to be a rip off.

there is only a R rated version of Malevolence. I got my copy at Walmart awhile back and it included everything as well as the 5.1 surround.

yep this morning i saw dead and breakfast but no hellworld i was pissed i nearly bought dead and breakfast and remembered it was unrated and i saw it was r rated pissed me off walked out of the store went to best buy and picked up a copy of both movies.
wal mart has good prices but hardly ever get unrated versions of r-rated movies just pg-13 a.l.a.the grudge,ring two etc...

Don't know which Walmart you are shopping at but my local Walmarts both had plenty of unrated copies of Dawn of the Dead, The Ring Two, The Grudge and several other unrated movies that have come out lately.

And I really doubt Dead & Breakfast has both an R rated and Unrated version JUST for Walmart.

I picked up Dead & Breakfast earlier at Walmart, and then noticed the inner cover (not the lenticular cover) appeared different than the ones I saw out to rent earlier. They say "Unrated" or something at the very top, and the Walmart version is "R Rated" and does not state that. Screw that. I didn't get around to Best Buy yesterday, so I'll probably pick it up there tomorrow... it's cheaper anyways!

Walmart and their hypocritical Censored versions and Fullscreen preference is so damned retarded.

I dunno what to say, I went to Wal-Mart today and the outside sleeve says "Unrated & Outrageous" and on the actual DVD case it also says "Unrated & Uncensored" so I bought it. It also says it has Dolby 5.1 (which means nothing to me, but apparantly isn't on the R version?). So, I'm assuming my copy is... errr... "Unrated & Outrageous."

I was just wondering what the difference was between the R and uncut versions' covers?

I think the Unrated version has a sticker on the front of the 3-D lenticular cover? I believe on the inner keepcase cover it also says at the very top of the front "Unrated & Uncensored" or something similar. The Walmart store here was definitely only carrying the R-Rated version.

I'm in Canada, maybe that's why. But mine definitely is unrated. "Color/88 mins/Not Rated"

Just reading the thread make me afraid that when I open it it's gonna have a big "Rated R" sticker on the DVD.

Wal-Mart sucks. period. Unrated or not, you should buy ALL of your movies and anything else somewhere else if possible.

See that's the problem. Where I live I can either buy them at Walmart or order them online and wait an extra week most times to get them.

Lately, I have been buying my DVDs from Target, instead of Best Buy. I have a Target card, and no Best Buy card, but my credit limit is less than the Best Buy card I used to have, so that is a blessing. I have my DVDs shipped, and both Target and Amazon.com are partnered together, which means that you order the DVDs from Target, and Amazon.com ships the DVDs. I have received my DVDs pretty quick through the standard shipping, but sometimes I will do 2nd day shipping, and the shipping is still pretty cheap, pretty cheap compared to the price of gas these days. But, where I live, we have a little shopping center, and I have Borders, Best Buy, and Super Target in the same Shopping Center. I live only a mile from the little shopping center, and 2 miles from work. Can't get any better than that. I also live only about 1 1/2 miles from Wal-Mart, and one of 2 Blockbusters in my area. The other BB is only about 3/4 mile from home.

I keep it simple and do all my disc shopping at Best Buy, or on occassion DVD Planet. Wal-mart is a little too sketchy for me and I really dont even like to go into one. I get a weird feeling.....
