How is this film guys?

I've heard alot about it, and I've seen alot of mixed reviews on this film. The covers and things look really cool and stylish, but does it reflect the film rightly?

I guess the booklet is also Only in German.

Way to go D-Udo! Tell us about the quality of the transfer! Anything that keeps my money away from SS....

@Stige
nobody force you to buy that one ;)

@The Chaostar
I didn`t see the new transfer of the NSM yet.
For the audiocommetary we use another copy of the movie, but it was an uncut version. :)

So, sorry, i also didn`t see some drafts of the SS Version yet. Mediablasters has don`t given any replies to my E-Mails.
So unfortunatley, i can`t tell you any facts about the difference.
And yes, the booklet will be also in german. Sorry for only english speaking customers, but the NSM DVD will be an exclusive edition for Austria. And the motherlanguage of Austria is german.

yeah , I know no one forces me. I'm just crazy when it comes to having the best version available. It's an addiction , just irritates me when I do it with movies I never watch

Oh damn. The Antropophagus DVD from Beat records is on it's way. I hope this one isn't too superior in comparison.

Not long ago, there were only shity versions of Anthropophagus. Many of them. Even "Special" Shitty versions, transfers of 8mm prints, that were sought after and sold at high prices.
And suddenly you have the US version, the Austrian version, the Beat version, each and every one of them sporting a 16x9 transfer. I am confused. :s

Thats because, i am in the Business now :D
No only joking. I have only a little influence to the Distributors and Labels.

I don`t know why, but i think it ist due to the fact that Signora Donati is still in the Business again. and she is the Copyright Holder and licensor of "Antropophagus"

Udo

btw. I don`t have any replies of MB/SS about the US-Release of "Antropophagus" yet.

By the end of the week I will (hopefully) have a review of the Beat Records version up. It's a pretty good release. Stay tuned to this channel for further details.

I got my Beat Records DVD and I'd have to say it's pretty good. I've never seen any of the other releases so I can't say how they compare but it's probably as good as the source will allow. This is also the fist time I've ever watched Antropopahgus and for as much as I've heard bad things about it I was pleasantly surprised. Granted it's not high art but it does serve it's purpose well.

So, you have to alsco check out this site.

There you wll find some informations about the DVD and an Exposè written by Björn Thiele and me exclusively for the BEAT Records Website.
(first it was considered as contribution for the DVD itself)

I have still to pick this one up. Gotta wait for the release of the SS disc though first - then compare. Looking forward to finally owning it. Well done d-udo!
