Anyone know what the hell is wrong with Clive Barker's voice? I mean sure, some people have a raspy voice, but damn with Clive it sounds like ever word is painful. I first noticed how bad it was on the special features of "Hellraiser," and then noticed it again while watching the 100 scariest moments Bravo thing the other day. Is it just me or do you'all also think someone should get that man a glass of water?!

When I met him over at comic-con, he had the same messed up voice. So we can narrow down the fact that it not some sound problem.

Also, he's teeth are really yellow. The cause of the problem could be cigarettes and drinking.

haha, dont worry about it dude. it deserves to be talked about. i noticed to. ive been a member here even longer than you and never read anything about it on these boards. of coarse i dont go to EVERY thread, so i could have missed it when someone was talking about it.

But yeah, isn't this like the third time it's been mentioned? Or was it that it was mentioned once, add the gay joke, and then later someone made a new thread asking if he was gay? Or someone made a joke thread asking if he was gay... Ah... Memories. So yeah, even though I'm not a Clive Barker fan it's pretty well known to even to me, and I haven't seen or heard him in an interview either.

It's rather funny that actual threads have been made devoted to the single subject of Clive Barker's voice; do we ever get even a single post asking about George A. Romero's ever increasing eye glass thickness? He should be able to look from here to Mars and tell us the atom structure of the surface with those things. Yet we never gets threads on that. Where's the personal intrigue on Romero? That's what I want to know. Is the reason why they shot Land of the Dead mostly at night is because the sun would magnify and blow a beam straight through his head?

John Carpenter-Now naturally looks like he did in his BODY BAGS makeup.

Might I also add that Dario Argento looks like Edgar Allan Poe's cadaver and that Guillermo Del Torro looks exactly like ME (Shudder !!!!).

I should also add that I LOVE their work and at their worst they are still better directors than most of the pretenders churning out todays "horror" films.

Yes he is a gay man, he has the same gay voice as Harvey Fierstein who starred in Ms. Doubtfire and Independence Day. He's been open about this so it's a bigger shock that people wonder why his voice is screwed!

I think Argento kind of looks like Frankenstein's monster. Their foreheads are similar. One thing I will say for Dario, though, he still looks pretty young for his age.
