bit underwhelming and the images are a little too "familiar". I was more impressed with the teaser, but anyway here it is:

OooooooOOoO! I think the trailer looks good, not as suspensful or 'mysterious' as the teaser, but I think it will at least give people who aren't familiar with the game a taste of the story.

I like how they included the music of the game in the trailer(shivers ran down my spine when I heard it-SWEET). Let's hope they keep it in the movie too. I will be seeing this when it comes out indeed.

That's what a videogame adaptation needs...shit from the actual game. That's why every other videogame adaptaion has pretty much blew. They take it off into another direction. Fans of these games want to see them come to life...not to see them re-imagined.

With that said, the trailer makes it look fantastic. And unlike the majority of these adaptations, there's some true talent attached to it. I'm tossing my doubt out of the window on this one, and can say I'm officially excited :D

You bet. The same composer from the games is doing to music for the movie.

I can't agree more with the comment about the game content being included in the movie. It looks as though they managed to do a pretty good job of blending the plots from the first three games, despite changing the sex of the male lead from the first game. I couldn't be more excited about this movie.

Just watched the trailer, the atmosphere looks great. I'm a little bit leery of the father character, hope they don't use him to deus ex some things. But I saw a glimpse of what looked like Pyramid Head, so that should keep things interesting.

Oh my God, I can't wait. Period, end of sentence, end of story!

When I said familiar, I was referring to the CG images of the mysterious little girl. I'm talking "The Ring", "feardotcom" etc. I'm not referring to the videogame.

Well, the game had those types of images WAY before they were popular, so that's just fine by me.

yeah, but the CG just looks awful, IMO. That stuff just isn't frightening. Because Roger Avary is writing it, I'm still looking forward to it...but that trailer dampened by enthusiasm.

House Of The Dead had content from the game included, and everybody hated it! :p

I'm sure this won't have ACTUAL videogame footage...but who knows, Boll could have begun a trend there :p

'Silent Hill' Website Gets Full Launch

Sony Pictures has relaunched the official website for their upcoming video game adaptation Silent Hill, which stars Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean, Laurie Holden, Deborah Kara Unger, Kim Coates,Tanya Allen and Jodelle Ferland. The website is gorgeous and switches from the normal world to the nightmare world- pretty cool huh? Christophe Gans' "Silent Hill" is based on the hugely successful Konami game in which Rose (Mitchell) desperately searches for her lost daughter in the mysterious, terrifying town of Silent Hill, where they are trapped.

PICK THE SILENT HILL POSTER!

Today TriStar Pictures announced the 5 finalists for their poster contest, and here they are.

Not too shabby. The first and fourth posters are by far the best, at least in this man's opinion.

But the choice is up to you- you can vote on the poster to be used at the official website, WelcomeToSilentHill.com. The winning poster's going to be announced February 22nd, and you can be sure we'll let you know which one it is.

Silent Hill will be released nationwide on April 21.

I think this looks great. Definately looks better than Resident Evil, which should have been great.

They have definitely captured the tone of the game. I'm not sure about the idea of cutting back and forth to the husband trying to get to his wife, but apart from that it does look like it's going to be a winner. Ahh, I can hear the sound of radio interference.

Finally watched this and I've gotta say I think it could be really fuckin' sweet. I totally dig the atmosphere and it looks like there should be a good amount of gore if they play their cards right. I really hope they pull this one off since it appears to have the most potential of not sucking over any other recent video game adaptation.
