I'm hitting the Cinema Wasteland convention this year in Ohio. Not too many large name draws for celebritys, best so far is the Banjo & Sullivan reunion. Still, I'm a convention junkie and since it is so local to me I'm gonna be there for the whole weekend. Anyone else gonna attend?

Dunno at this moment. Could be a good possibility though since it isn't until August.

Oh I'll find you Mortis. I may come alone this time and ride my bike if the wife doesn't feel like going. :)

Cinema Wasteland is one of the best shows going next to Chiller. CW is plain old drive in days fun unlike your bigger cons who shut down after the hours say. CW continues around the clock with films, talking about horror, etc. Just plain fun!

Right up the highway for me [well, sort of] but I'll be in San Antonio at the time. Maybe next year.

That's cool to hear. I'm looking forward to getting my Sideshow Pamela Vorhees collectible signed by Betsy Palmer. I also intend to get the entire Banjo & Sullivan cast to sign my Devil's Rejects Last Supper poster. I be excited!

So I'm back from Cinema Wasteland. Here are some of the items I scored:
Autographs
-All the cast members from Banjo & Sullivan in The Devil's rejects signed my "Last Supper" poster.
-Tom Sullivan autographed my Evil Dead 2 Book of the Dead.
Toys/Collectibles
-The worm eyed zombie from Lucio Fulci's Zombie
-Dr. Satan doll made by the same artist.
-Both are custom figures. His work can be seen here-http://www407.pair.com/dreggs88/frame_page_3.htm
DVDs
-Subconcious Cruelty (2 disc SE)
-The Descent (2 disc SE)
-Cinema Wasteland Trailers Vol.1
-War of the Gargantuas (Widescreen bootleg with origional Japanese language and English subs)
-The Boogens (Bootleg)
-The Burning (Vipco uncut DVD)
All in all I had a good time. Priscilla Barnes is quite the ditzball I gotta say. She seemed drunk and a bit stuck on herself. Lloyd Kaufman turns out to be an old perv as he felt up my daughter's friend and asked them both of them if they wanted to party in his room later. The highlight of the show for me was the Q&A with Charles Band. He got some volunteers onstage to do a mock scene shoot to give an idea about film direction. He even got one female convention goer to show her titties. Unfortunately I didn't snap a photo of them fast enough but I'll post some photos later.

Just curious....... how much did the autographs cost you?
I've attended "The Festival of Fear" here in Toronto the past couple years and last summer everybody was charging $20 - $25.... I wasn't very happy!

Autographs ranged from $10 to $20. Not too bad.
