Mario Bava's Kill Baby Kill is now available at Xploited:

Is this release any good? It's an older release from 2005.On an Australian label:

I've seen the German (Anolis) trailer which looks really good.Only in German though.
Is this the same quality?
This version is in English and Anamorphic widescreen.
Any info?
I also read about Tartan US doing a release?

I have a cheap-ass Brentwood R1 disc and I didn't like it much. I'm trying to get rid of it.

Here's a comparison between the VCI and the German release (same as Anolis' disc):

Did Brentwood use the VCI print?

Since I can understand German I thought about buying the German release since it looks really nice.I won't though.

Tartan has canceled their Bava Box.

But, Anchor Bay is supposed to re-do Bava's film in SE's.

There has been a French release under the name of 'Opération Peur', which was anamorhpic with Italian language and only (thank God I could read it) French subtitles. I have to confess that my recent discovery of Bava's work has not been that rewarding. Sure, his films are some of the best among the Italo-horror scene but (maybe) leaving out Black Sunday, i still have to be amazed and confirmed of his qualities. Maybe it's the same old 'hype destroys realistic expectations' thing.

I like the sound of that hybrid with the German transfer and the VCI english audio, called "flawless" by one owner. But, I sure hope that Anchor Bay (or someone!) releases some of these Bava titles. I'd like to see a great edition of Bay of Blood with a great transfer and decent audio. Also need The Girl Who Knew Too Much, and of course Kill, Baby, Kill. I like the sound of the SE releases by Anchor Bay, but would much rather see an outfit like Blue Underground do it. Of course I'll take what I can get.

Strolling through, just figured I'd make sure to note the hopefully upcoming release from Dark Sky mentioned here. (http://www.horrordvds.com/vb3forum/showthread.php?t=29831&highlight=kill+baby)
