i found this over at digitalbits and thought io would pass it along:

BCI Eclipse has officially announced that it will release That's the Way of the World (staring Earth, Wind & Fire along with Harvey Keitel), the sexy sci-fi parody Galaxina, and a pair of Paul Naschy horror flicks from Spain... Night of the Werewolf and Vengeance of the Zombies. These first titles from BCI are expected in August. The company expects to release more than 20 HD-DVD titles in 2006 include (among them the yet-to-be-announced Bob Hope classics Son of Paleface and The Lemon Drop Kid)

This is the company that announced they were releasing a batch of Naschy and Euro-horror titles for 2006. There already IS a thread about these, but it's always great to hear more news. I think the two titles I'm excited the most about are Night of the Sorcerers (trashy vampire/jungle sleaze) and Survive!, the 1976 Rene Cardona movie about the Andes plane crash. It will be fun to see Galaxina again, too.

BCI Eclipse is Brentwood, isn't it?

About a month late for an April Fools joke...

How ironic isn't it? They make their money bootlegging those Naschy films thru Brentwood, as well as titles like VIRUS, THE BODYGUARD, only for them to change their name to go legit, and release an official version of those said titles!

considering how their DVDs look (see bootleg VHS)maybe these HD-DVDs might look as good as normal VHS!

Technically But they have been releasing some quality titles lately. They did the He-Man series sets, which were great quality. They've also even released some films to DVD individually in 16x9 format.
