Are these releases really widescreen?
I know people make mistakes:

Thinking about buying them (not through eBay though, can get them cheaper :D).According to "The Book" the Seto Giallo is especially good.

Sorry, can't help you. I'm not even sure if I ever watched "Emptiness", so I definitely can't recall wether it's ws or not. I remember the cover and stuff so at least I had it (or the German version with a similar cover) in my hands several years ago. I know for sure that I haven't watched "Hurricane" but it sounds fun.

those r dutch sellthrus and not authentic originals...

sellthrus...r reproductions of the original, they differ from bootleggs as they r not copies from a VHS tape but from a 1-inch master..with color copied covers.....

sellthrus r usually on really light weight tapes...

authentic dutch originals r usually on SCOTCH or FUJI brand name tapes....E-90 or E-120...........

How much are they, Crystal? The Ebay links look reasonable, if you can get them cheaper than that, then why not?

i recently disconnected my VHS-player and we have discarded of all our tapes (or given them away)

for me, watching VHS is not an option anymore. i can understand people buying them to watch that one film that has eluded them or hasn't appeared on DVD or just collecting them. just to think that you're probably watching a movie in a nth grade condition while it will possible surface on DVD in a clean print where you can make up what's happening at night instead of watching some grey fuzziness.

still, on topic : i haven't seen or heard of any of the 2, probably more of the kind of giallo of the lower tier.
