If you really want a copy of House By the Cemetery you can get one at Best Buys for 7.99. It's put out by Diamond Entertainment 2000. It's only 84 minutes long. The front cover is from the original graphics.
Right, and the Diamond DVD might even be cheaper at other shops. Actually "House By The Cemetery" is out on at least 5 DVDs so far, but although Anchor Bay is a bit behind with the release many people/fans are waiting for exactly their DVD because they are hoping (and so do I) that itīs going to be the best DVD of this title, hopefully with better picture & sound than ever before plus tons of great Extras (???)...
Anchor Bay's HBTC won't have "tons of extras". Should be pretty minimal, actually.

Whichever looks the best :) The last version reviewed here (EC, I think) did have some picture problems according to the review.

Oops, please donīt destroy the last bit of hope ;) Itīs even harder to wait that long if thereīs only "minimal" stuff to look forward to, if Anchor Bay cares about this title and "Manhattan Baby" as well (even if they both might not be considered to be as important as "The Beyond") and want to beat out all the other releases then they should do more than only giving good picture & sound, they would only need to send someone to Italy and make them find material, there are probably no "missing scenes" or lost stuff in the Cinecitta trashcans to find anymore but at least something can be found always, maybe at Italian studios or TV channels ;) If they really have no ideas on what Extras to put on, why not trying to find one of the "House By The Cemetery" main-actors like Frezza, who knows what heīs doing now, might be he would be happy to earn some Dollars by giving an interview or commentary, there are enough ideas (exclusive interviews, commentaries, large picture galleries, trailers, Italian Soundtrack, whatever), come on dear Anchor Bay, that wouldnīt ruin you ;)

The Anchor Bay disc hopefully will be (?!?) ;) The picture on my recent 1.85:1 version DVD isnīt the hit, so I need a better version anyway ;)

The screen caps shown in that EC-DVD review looked good (sharp, wide and bright) ;) Would be nice if the picture quality on the Anchor Bay disc would be even better, hope they make it not too dark and present a really complete picture :)
