Mentioned this in the Creeps v Coment thread, but figured it would get more attention here. I was happy to find this as I had never seen this ending (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV6t2PfESkM&search=night%20of%20the%20creeps) before.
Now I'm tryin to get it and the trailer to make a dvd (got the movie with original ending) since I'm sick of waiting.
The trail version of ReplayA/V kinda captured it, but only 90 seconds or so and it runs 2:30. Plus none of my programs would open the .flv file, renaming it mpg or avi also failed.
If anyone can get this and convert it to mpg or avi please holla at me, I'll trade a finished dvd for a file I can use (also wanting the trailer. So far I've only found it on VideoDetective (http://videodetective.com/trailer-preview.asp?customerid=97135&publishedid=701933)).
For those who've also missed out on this ending, ENJOY!

Awesome find! Thanks!
I can't convert it for you because I just moved a bit ago and haven't unpacked my rig, but this should be helpful.

Yeah, I see those all the time and hear they are really good quality, but never felt the urge to buy one as I have a dvdr with the video/theater version already. Now I want to re-author what I have with the alt. ending and trailer (also looked for other "making of" clips but haven't found any yet) but nothing is downloadable.
I'm almost tempted to buy ReplayA/V and see if the full version won't cut this off. Thanks for that link Nos4ah2, I bet I could convert with a few of those freeware programs if I gave it a go.
Can anyone vouch for RePlayA/V or any other similar (preferably better/easier/free'er) program to capture streams? It mentioned a 15 minute limit on audio, but no limit on video for the trail version. Guess it's 94 seconds.:D

The version on eBay claiming to have both versions of the film is false. It merely has the theatrical version and the theatrical version with the cemetery ending tacked on, although in an interview this is what Dekker said he'd prefer to have.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought "Damn, how many alternate endings does this movie have?" But I hadn't seen the space ship ending since the 80s so I failed to remember that it took place in a graveyard. Thanks for refreshing my memory! :)

I think I like the theatrical ending best, but it's great to have this one as well. I've got it thanks to the many bootlegs on ebay. Quality is good, but this really does need a proper release.

Try either this website: http://keepvid.com/ or this one: http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php to download it.
Then go to www.videohelp.com and find a link to a program called Super and that should convert it for you.

That keepvid gives me a file with no extension that only reads "file" under it's propeties. I set my computer to show all known files, and it still has no extension so I can't change it to flv. I'm beginning to believe this is a losing effort and I will never be able to capture anything not just downloadable. I'd try the other one but don't have firefox and don't want to deal with trying to figure that all out right now.
Thanks for the links though.

Strange.
I just gave the trailer a go and RePlay grabbed that, and it came out as a WMV file that opens right up with anything, including Nero.
A second try at the ending got me up to 97 seconds, then cut. Went for a third try but it won't pick up the URL again.
Maybe there is hope, nive that the trailer worked.

You usually have to change the extension to .FLV I'm trying it right now and will let you know the results. If I get an MPEG out of it, I'll let you know.
EDIT: I got it down and changed the extension to .FLV and it plays fine. Now I'll try a transfer to MPEG!
EDIT 2: I got it transferred to a VCD compliant MPEG1 with Super which works on a DVD. No Problem! It's 2 and 1/2 minutes long. Do you want a copy? PM me and let me know.

Hey, thanks. I had never seen that alternate ending. Local TV stations here only broadcast the movie with the other ending.
This one looks interesting.

I saw that ending when it aired on Sci-Fi and was very confused because I didn't remember it. I like the theatrical ending better anyway.
