I ordered a dvd from xploited (Last House on the Left UK Version) and had a problem with it. Disc 1 was scratched and Disc 2 had a chip on it (I saw a thread about these a couple of weeks ago). I sent the disc back and recieved another one. The thing is disc 2 has a chip on the inner rim. Other than that it is fine. Should I contact xploited again or just live with it? I have no idea if this will deteriate over time.

I dont worry too much abou chips like that. If it plays, I go with it.

Was the DVDs sealed/shrinkwrapped when it arrived? I remember ordering RUN MAN RUN from them last year and I got an unsealed copy. They told me that's the way they had received it from Blue Underground. In any event, ever since that time, I've made it a point to always ask for sealed DVDs and haven't had any other problems.

Some DVD companies just use cheapass disc duplication methods, and a good chunk of them they release will have some flaw. If you get a third one; it might be just as bad, worse, or perfect. The question is...does your replacement play okay without any trouble? That would be my main concern.

depends on how big the chip is. But I'd be concerned that the chip would turn into a crack and cause problems with playback over time. they even say in the dvd player handbooks that come with the player not to play cracked or chipped discs.

I can see a chip on the outer edge possibly being an issue - but not in the inner circle.

If it bothers you, send it back. Unless you are shopping used, you don't pay to get damaged discs. I for one would totally send that back.
I had a disc that chipped in the inner circle over time, and I didn't play it once I saw the problem had developed until a friend of mine fixed it up for me.

With Super Glue and a sealant... all done by them, not me. You can hardly tell it was ever chipped now.
I had the disc for years before the chipping happened.
