No, this isn't a poll about your favorite Austin Powers character, instead, which is your favorite interpretation of "The Shape"? Do you like the skinner build of Nick Castle's original, or the beefer stuntmen like Don Shanks and George P. Wilbur of the later sequels? For the HALLOWEEN series, much more than the other two big slashers series, it seems to be more about the mask than the stature of the characters from episode to episode, but let's give some cred to the guys behind the mask for this one.

First!

Oops! Wrong site!

Going with Dick Warlock, at any rate.

Them skinny dudes are scarier, just cuz if they can kick your ass, it sucks that they can/did. Ergo, first Myers.
He also had everything else down and really made Michael a character and not just a run a the mill masked killer.

Nick Castle is who I think of when I think of the role, so he gets my vote. Runner-up would be Don Shanks for bring out the playfully evil side of Michael in Halloween 5. He was awesome.

The guy in the first movie rocks. I like his cold acting specially at the end. But something interesting besides the actors in these movies is the mask. The mask sucks since Halloween 4.

The one used in the first and second movies are way different.

Wilbur for me. He was the first Myers I ever saw AND he stuck his whole thumb into some dude's forehead!

Another vote for Mr. Warlock. Castle obviously defined just who the shape was, but I still prefer the feeling that Warlock resonated. Forever ingrained in my memory from childhood are the way he lingered down that hospital stairway and maniacally stabbed Laurie's bed. I was around 6 when I had to stay in the hospital for a bad case of bronchitis. I probably stayed up half the night because of my memories of Halloween II.

Warlock was the perfect shape and build for the Myers portrayal.

Nick Castle all the way.
When he put the kid on the kitchen wall and tilted his head..........what a moment!

Nick Castle. The original is usually the best, and in this case that's it!

Going against the grain a bit..I dug D.Warlock a bit more.He just seemed more menacing.Very close match though...

Castle, but Wilbur in Part 6 is a close second.

I had a tough time deciding between Castle and Warlock (sounds like a medieval choice here) but I gave the nudge to Warlock

Nick Castle is The Shape and George Wilbur is The Out of Shape. You can tell the filmmakers confused Michael with Jason from H4 on.

How funny is it that Michael gained 75-100 pounds over a 10-year period when he was in a coma?

Haha, when you put it like that, it is pretty funny.

Castle, by a mile, Dick Warlock was too small to pull it off IMO

I chose Nick Castle. I really think Nick Castle and Dick Warlock did the most with the character.
