When i saw the title Catacombs, i was thinking of the 1988 movie staring Timothy Van Patton.

Oh man, this movie is terrible beyond words. A good idea that fails in every area. The pacing is boring, the characters annoying, the script and dialogue are lame...and the ending is a huge letdown. The movie even starts with a pitiful semi-spoiler voiceover.

Way to go Lions Gate, another non-anamorphic widescreen DVD. Well, it's not like this turd deserved 16x9 treatment I suppose.

Not even worth a rental.

That might be true but, since this is Lionsgate .... I'm staying away from Catacombs :(

Good choice. But to others, proceed at your own risk if you choose. :D

...and this is coming from someone who usually LOVES films about caverns, tunnels, labyrinths and such. This film began bad, it stayed bad, and the ending made it even worse. Yes, it shows some of the Paris underground catacombs...but so does Discovery Channel. :lol:

I thought this wasn't bad. An unique setting with some good lighting choices OK acting and a down beat ending. If it wasn't for Shannyn Sossamon this would of been much worse then it was.
