both are horrible went with psycho remake mainly cause of vince vaughn's performance i thought was alright

They are both horrible pieces of work, but The Haunting made me want to shoot myself a little less so it "wins."

Unable to vote. Both original films are such masterpieces, I've never felt the desire to watch either remake. The 1963 Haunting is probably my absolute favorite haunted house movie ever. I'm guessing that you probably see CGI ghosts in the remake. In the original, you never saw actual ghosts - yet it was terrifying!
