Fuck yeah!!! I've been waiting for a theater / drive-in around here to do this. On the weekend of the 13-15, the drive-in at Georgetown, IN (just a few miles north of Louisville KY) will be playing their triple horror fest. This year's lineup includes:
Screen 1
Friday the 13th 3 in 3D (original drive-in print)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Descent
Screen 2
The Omen
The Covenant
Pulse
I'll be going just to see F13 3d (probably stay and check out TCM again, though i will be seeing it this weekend).

So jealous. Theaters around here never do this shit.
That sure would be sweet...

Are they playing the original Omen, or the new one?
Doesn't really matter, as there's no way I could make it. I would love to though. Damn.

its the remake. every year in october, they have a triple bill horror festival, usually on their last weekend of operation for the year. the films are from the current year, but it was a bit of a surprise to see an older film included. I guess they are including it because that weekend features an actual Friday the 13th date and they wanted to exploit that. And i'm happy as hell they are!! i drove pass the drive-in earlier and they had a mock leatherface in front of the venue! lol they also usually have someone dress up as leatherface, or other villains, set up the whole drive-in with various halloween decorations, have a mini-haunted maze leading to the snack bar and other cool stuff during their triple horror fest. it's really cool to go to each year if you live in the area.

I got to see FRIDAY THE 13TH PT. 3 in 3-D last October at our local Cinema Cafe. That movie is a lot more fun in it's theatrical format. The audience loved it.

I just wished where I live they would do something like that. I would like to see F13, 3D in it's theatrical form. I saw it in '83, along with Jaws 3D, all in the same year. What fond memories.

That sounds like soemthing I simply CRAVE!
I mentioned this before, but there's an old 1920's theatre in my area AND a drive-in that takes NO initiative doing something creative like this! I wonder how I can start something like this! I think I can pull in some good money...though I hear renting those films costs a pretty penny!
rxfiend, I'd be all over this showing like a fly on dookie!!!
