View Full Version : Favorite Halloween Protagonist?

Yeah, Jamie Lee is the scream queen, but over the years I've witnessed quite an affinity for the gals in parts 4 and 5. I know everyone loves Busta, and that Josh Hartnett...he's so cute! So come on, who is it, who is your favorite lead character to face off against the unkillable man behind the mask? Tom Atkins from Season of the Witch has been thrown in because I know there will be some to complain at his absence, and turning off the television has never been the same without him.

Jamie Lee all the way. I have a gay crush on that sexy bitch. :D

I actually didn't think Busta was that bad in Halloween: Resurrection. He was certainly comic relief, whether or not that was intentional. ;)

Jamie Lee wins but yeah I liked Busta and Bianca Kajlich as well. I really liked the whole web cam angle of Resurrection and it was the first time in a long while that I got so involved with caring if a character in a Halloween movie lived or died.

My most hated was Paul Rudd, well maybe it wasn't his fault but I hated that Halloween.

Tommy Doyle because...

1. I actually like H6 a lot.

2. That goofy facial expression he gives when he sees Michael in the hallway is priceless.

Dr. Loomis. The rest don't even compare.

I agree.

Dr. Loomis. The rest don't even compare.

The good Doctor.

Deus Ex Machina

for me? Tina Williams

why? cause I used to have a crush on Wendy Kaplan

10-30-2006, 02:27 AM
Yeah all about Loomis!

10-30-2006, 02:35 AM
Tom Atkins. Aside from him being too cool for words, he's at his best as Doc Challis, and Halloween III tops this series for me.

Donald Pleasance also rules, but I prefer his role as the priest in Prince of Darkness.

yes! i was about to vote for Loomis, and then that expression popped into my head and I couldn't vote for anyone but Rudd.

Gonna go with Paul Rudd because IMO part 6 is the best sequal and one of the most frightening slasher films to follow any of the true greats. Plus the film is horroribly under rated.

10-30-2006, 07:31 AM
Paul Rudd beating out Atkins, Harris and Busta? I never thought I'd see the day. I never thought I'd see an THE OBJECT OF MY AFFECTION 2...could now be the time?

10-30-2006, 07:45 AM
Paul Rudd is an acting juggernaut.

Do I smell panther?

10-30-2006, 08:20 AM
that's the smell of desire.

Conal Cochran
10-30-2006, 11:42 AM
Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins). Just too cool in this movie. Loomis is next. You forgot Conal Cochran ....;)

10-30-2006, 01:17 PM
Rachel Carruthers (Ellie Cornell). She really brought a lot of energy to Halloween 4, and was really likable and pretty much single handedly made that movie.

10-30-2006, 02:44 PM
Dr. Loomis. Tom Atkins as Dr. Dan Challis is a very close second.

10-30-2006, 03:06 PM

Paul Rudd: "You smell like a burger. I don't like you anymore."

(Wet Hot American Summer). He is fantastic in that movie, as well as Anchorman. I went with him.

10-30-2006, 04:39 PM
I picked Loomis because, well, he's the standard for a "Halloween protaganist" if there ever was one.

10-30-2006, 05:28 PM
What the hell ever happened to Wendy Kaplan anyway?

11-01-2006, 03:12 PM
Dr. Sam Loomis

11-01-2006, 03:26 PM
this thread was created to basically talk about how cool Donald Pleasence is. ;)

11-01-2006, 07:53 PM
I voted for Jamie because I didn't noticed there is also Donald, sorry! I would vote for Donald, shame on me! ;)
