NOPE. The credits on the VHS have the sides cut off where the actors names and part of the title are missing.

i have a few blackhorse entertainment dvd's and ALL of them make Troma look like anchorbay in it's hayday

Difficult to resist but I am gonna sit this one out until someone tells me if the quality is better or worse than my PAL VHS, which to be perfectly honest is the best one can possibly hope for

Well I sprung for it and it is indeed vhs quality. Viewing it on a 42" lcd and the title was partially cut off on one side. I had never seen the movie so it wasnt a waste, I actually enjoyed it despite it being a straight vhs to dvd rip. Definitely a film that deserves good treatment.

VHS rip, with noticable print damage throughout the entire film , including a crease in the image (much like a damaged portion of a VHS) a few times. Fuzzy and unclear for the most part, my PAL VHS is better in terms of image. Nighttime scenes are hard to make out a lot of the time. CLEARLY pan and scan , with a black bar sometimes appearing on the bottom of the screen at random times.
If anyone buys it expect worse than the final terror ffrom trinity

Sound

Clear for the most part , but noticable hiss through out the entire movie. And a few occasions where the rear speakers spouted out static for a few seconds. Most of you probably recognize the stereo /mono shift from older VHS movies you have where the sound is bad, and you forget to turn the player to mono.

NO bonus whatsoever and a crappy cover

conclusion :

If you have an even halfway descent VHS of this don't bother upgrading ( or in this case downgrading) to thisDVD
Still waiting for a good release somewhere, anywhere else

That's the only reason I bought it as well. So yeah, it wasn't a complete waste of money. (TERRIBLE image, though. Kindof like Platinum's release of Prom Night.)

What I found strange though, is it's a UK DVD, but it's actually R0 NTSC. It plays in our normal 'R1' DVD player downstairs.

Well yeah of course they are, but what I meant was since this DVD was from the UK, their DVDs are almost always R2 or R0 'PAL' because PAL is the video standard throughout Europe. Having it be a UK release and have it be R0 'NTSC' is kindof strange. Even if a DVD is R0 PAL, it will not play on a normal R1 'NTSC' DVD player, regardless of whether it is region-free or not. Because with DVD, you have to deal with two problems: Region codes AND video formats. I have a bunch of R0 Anchor Bay UK titles that do not work on our normal R1 DVD player. Why? Because they're R0 'PAL'. For it to work, it has to be R1 or R0 'NTSC'. I do have a region-free DVD player, but I just found it odd that a DVD released in the UK was released in NTSC format, considering the European video standard is PAL.
