Leif Jonker's Darkness

Good choice. I didn't intend to, but I will vote for it today too. I didn't really love the movie, but I got to admit, they did the gore up and good. Any bloodletting that should have gone on for 2 minutes went on for at least five hours. It was almost too much. It got to the point I was like, "Damn, surely this person is out of blood by now, move on!" Yet, the blood kept right on spurting.

Is Twitch of the Death Nerve gory at all? I've never seen it but heard that it was. If they could release an affordable DVD, I would pick it up! :(

The Youtube video makes a compelling arguement for Ricky, but a classic like DAY OF THE DEAD, needs to be inducted before an upstart film like that, it should make the top 11, but not before Day.

Opinions about either film aside, how is Riki considered an "upstart?"

Haha, that's what I was wondering. I also think Riki-Oh is a fine pick, no matter where it ends up on the list. I also think people's definitions of gore can vary so it's a bit tricky, this poll.

Agreed on the different definitions. Some of these choices are confusing the hell out of me as some are movies I never once thought were exceptionally gory at all.

Yeah, as we discussed earlier Luna, there are so many levels and styles of violence in film, implied or explicit, comedic or serious in tone, that I just don't know where I want to put my chips.

This may be the most subjective poll yet, but that just makes it that much more interesting to see what people pick. :)

Day of the Dead had VERY well done gore.. but not the goriest. It really isnt all that a confusing of a poll to me. comedic , serious, etc. the bottom line is what has the most gore. right?

It was released in 1991. Dead Alive was released in 1992. :eek2:

On that note, some of the "Treehouse of Horror" specials were pretty gory.
