I love Day of the Dead and think it is one of the best zombie movies ever, but it is certainly news to me it is one of the most gory movies ever.

Darkness: The Vampire Version is my vote for the day.

Plot-wise, I thought it was pretty weak. But I have to admit, I was pretty surprised by all the gore in

I've already thrown in my vote for Darkness, so I think this time I'll go with The Beyond

Everyone needs to see this flick since it has a million times more gore than the Dawn of the Dead, which doesn't have anywhere near as much gore. It's not even remotely close.

It only won because more people have seen it.

Maybe not the goriest, but the gore is done pretty well and creatively. Think about the gut-spill zombie or the zombie with the jaw missing. Also, the zombie on the table that only has his brain attached.

I completely agree. The clever & imaginative f/x work by Tom Savini and his crew on Day of the Dead is masterful!

In this poll, I'm voting for extra gory films that are well made and still entertaining to watch. A lot of super gore films in the genre I can do without.

I agree that the gore is well done and quality work. I am not insulting the movie at all as I love it. I just don't think it is close to being one of the goriest movies ever. I would have considered voting for it in a Movie With the Best Gore Poll though.
