Well that sucks. I got an e-mail from RHINO telling me they have no plans on releasing it on DVD.

I thought I heard a while back that Rhino's rights to the children had run out. Anyone know for certain?

I had vivid memories of seeing this one on USA up all night in the '80s. It's not nearly as good seeing it through the jaded eyes of adulthood. It's worth owning on video, but I question whether it's worth picking up on DVD.

The most interesting bit of trivia about the film is that it's scored by the same person who did the music for Friday the 13th.

why in the world would a company buy the rights to a movie and not release it????

They did release it, but only on VHS. Their distribution rights may have run out before they had a chance with a DVD release.
