the italian film board edit of mother of tears

i know that when films are submitted to the mpaa for editing, superflous scenes are addded as collateral and so are not missed in the final print as they were basically throwaway scenes anyway. i wonder if argento did this when he submitted mother of tears to the italian film board for reviewing. comments?
