TALES FROM THE CRYPT: SEASON SIX comes out on July 24th, and we've got some copies to give away. All you've got to do is tell us what your favorite episode from the entire series is. Is it Zemeckis' season one debut, "All Through the House", Hill's season two classic, "Cutting Cards", the season five opening trio, or something else altogether?

Post your favorite TALES FROM THE CRYPT episode here and you'll be entered in a draw to win one of two SEASON SIX box sets.

The contest ends a day before street date, July 23rd at midnight, so the discs can be sent out before all you fans go out there and buy 'em yourselves. Enough formalities...let's see your picks!

A tie between Cutting Cards and Abra Cadaver. What's Cookin sticks out in my mind as well.

07-18-2007, 01:56 AM
I actually really liked the one Tom Hanks directed called None But The Lonely Heart. It's not the best episode, but it's my personal favorite. I loved the zombies in the episode, actually quite scary looking.

07-18-2007, 01:59 AM
I love many episodes, but nothing beats And All Through The House for me. I have a thing for killer Santas.

07-18-2007, 02:12 AM
Hard to pick, but I really like Dead Right. That's the one that always comes to mind when I think of the series. Fortune tellers are always a fun element in horror anthologies, and this was one of the better ones.

07-18-2007, 02:24 AM
'Til Death. I love a good voodoo zombie story.

07-18-2007, 03:09 AM
"Split Personality"... Joe Pesci is so frikkin' awesome in this, and funny. The big finale is really satisfying and bloody... very good fx... probably one of the nastiest for the series... the chainsaw cutting into his crotch... and that final shot is great!

07-18-2007, 03:24 AM
I had a hard time picking just one, but I have to go with Television Terror. That episode is truly scary!

07-18-2007, 03:30 AM
At the moment, and aside from the greats that have already been picked, I'll go with Season 2's "Three's A Crowd." While maybe not my favorite (like "Til Death" or "And All Through the House"), the paranoia in that one really got to me and creeped me out.

07-18-2007, 03:45 AM
i love All Through The House

07-18-2007, 04:56 AM
The first episode that comes to mind for me is season one's 'Lover Come Hack to Me'. While it's not the strongest overall episode of the series something about it has always managed to creep me out in a way the other episodes never have.

Top Billing. The best performance Jon Lovitz has ever given, a good story, and a total ignorance of a fatal plot hole you have to watch it twice to catch.

So no one asks:

If the "Actors" were confined to the institution, how did an ad for the production of Hamlet get on the wall at the acting agency?

Like I said, I love that it just doesn't care.

"Only Skin Deep" directed by William Malone. A really unique and nightmarish episode that has stuck with me for many years. You'll never forget that girls face.

07-18-2007, 05:45 AM
I really liked Robert Zemeckis' "Yellow". I never even knew it was originally from "Two Fisted Tales" until I did a little research to figure out the name of the episode.

THE MAN WHO WAS DEATH was a great one,I'm a big fan of William Sadler,he was terrific in this.Great, atypical music too.

07-18-2007, 06:13 AM
the episode I liked a lot was the santa claus killer from season 1.

07-18-2007, 06:26 AM
Lover Come Hack To Me

It's classic, creepy and effective. It also serves as a kind of prototype for So I Married an Axe Murderer. The same actress is in each too. Awesome!

07-18-2007, 07:04 AM
i always think of The Man Who Was Death whenever i talk about my favorite episode.

07-18-2007, 08:23 AM
I always liked And All Through the House from Season 1. Satan=Santa!

07-18-2007, 08:35 AM
So many good ones to choose from it's hard to pick just one, but I will for a chance at season 6.:)

The Reluctant Vampire with Macolm McDowell from season 3 has always been a fun twist on vampires that holds up to repeat viewings.

07-18-2007, 09:26 AM
Without a doubt, the best episode is also the first. The Man Who Was Death. Reason? William Sadler.

07-18-2007, 10:18 AM
Oh wow, I really have to go with The Reluctant Vampire here. Malcolm McDowell totally cracks me up in it. Great stuff!

Television Terror directed by Charles Picerni and starring Morton Downey Jr. This episode stands out for me because it still manages to creep me out to this day. A fun ride with effective spookes and tension.

07-18-2007, 01:39 PM
My Favorite is Korman's Kalamity, with Collection Completed right behind it

07-18-2007, 02:25 PM
Television Terror is my favorite.

07-18-2007, 02:50 PM
Television Terror as well.

07-18-2007, 04:26 PM
I have to chose "And All Through The House". I watch it every December along with Black Christmas, Christmas Evil, Silent Night, Deadly Night and Silent Night, Bloody Night. I also thought that story was well done in the Tales From The Crypt movie.

07-18-2007, 04:47 PM
Forever Ambergris, definitely. Followed closely by Television Terror.

07-18-2007, 05:03 PM
Collection Completed Great story with a good twist.

07-18-2007, 05:05 PM
Sorry to hop on but the Television Terror episode is my favorite as well.

Tales from the Crypt Season #2 : Cutting Cards

The whole concept of chop poker is great. Neither one wanting to give in.

07-18-2007, 05:25 PM
Cutting Cards

07-18-2007, 05:25 PM
Season 2, Episode 6: The Thing from the Grave
Cant's get enough of Miguel Ferrer - everybody's favorite asshole! And, Teri Hatcher when she used to eat!

07-18-2007, 05:54 PM
Let the Punishment Fit the Crime from season 6

07-18-2007, 06:31 PM
"Only Skin Deep" directed by William Malone. A really unique and nightmarish episode that has stuck with me for many years. You'll never forget that girls face.

Same here!

William Malone is cool. He just needs better scripts!

Same here!

Agreed, Malone is a great director with a very unique visual style. His Tales episodes and House On Haunted Hill really prove that. I'm looking forward to his upcoming film Parasomnia which was made independantly, so it should give us the best view of his abilities yet.

07-19-2007, 03:43 AM
Cutting Cards.

07-19-2007, 03:45 AM
Television Terror! absolutely

07-19-2007, 05:46 AM
And All Through the House

07-19-2007, 07:11 AM
Werewolf Concerto

07-19-2007, 08:24 PM
Season 2's "THE SECRET" is my favorite episode. Werewolves and vampires are awesome!!!

07-20-2007, 03:44 AM
All Through the House was a really good one, but I have to go with Television Terror, better and scarier then most haunted house movies.

07-20-2007, 04:53 AM
i liked the episode "the switch " with william hickey

07-20-2007, 06:14 AM
Incredibly tough to chose. "The Man Who Was Death" for the trademark irony...."Death of Some Salesman" with Tim Curry playing three roles was a good one too. But Season 3 was it, faturing "Reluctant Vampire", "Mournin' Mess" and "Abra Cadavar", "Dead Wait", but I loved "Split Second" about the overzealous lumberjack, great ending, now that's friendship and camraderie!!

07-20-2007, 02:08 PM
Television Terror

07-22-2007, 12:30 AM
Television Terror for me...kick ass stuff there, manages to be way creepy and pretty damn funny all in one.

07-23-2007, 06:38 AM
Mine would be between "And All Through the House" or "Cutting Cards"

I'm gonna have to go with "And All Through the House" though, I believe that was the first episode I ever saw

Random.org tells me that SUICIDE and RXFIEND are the winners for this contest. PM me and I'll send your discs today.

Thanks to everyone who entered...it's pretty clear that ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE and TELEVISION TERROR are the clear favorites. It was nice to see my favorites like CUTTING CARDS and THE MAN WHO WAS DEATH get some loving too. I'm half-way through this season, and while it doesn't hold up to the rest of the seasons for me, it's still a lot better than Masters of Horror. Look for a new contest soon!

07-25-2007, 01:05 PM
