As a massive fan of the original film (not particularly the novel, which I thought was average at best), I CAN NOT wait for this four hour mini-series to air. It goes into production soon, with some guy named Robert Iscove in the director's seat. It is set twenty years after the original, welcome to 2004... and that's about all the info I can find. I'm sure we'll have a new Firestarter, and not Drew... but that's minor. I think this is gonna ROCK!
I have long wanted a sequel to this film, in fact had my own ideas and even wrote my own script for it, so this is some pretty cool news to me. Anyone else looking forward to this, even a little?

I'm definitely looking forward to it. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it, and how the character's abilities have developed over the last 20 years.

The Sci-Fi Channel is planning the sequel to Firestarter.
Also, they have Clive Barker's Saint Sinner in the works.

Is that still around? I used to read it in college (have like the first six issues) but gave it up at graduation. Cool!

You know, I really don't remember that well. The main character is a kid who's kind of a slacker punk, but who ends up trying to do good, thus the title. Or something like that. Sorry...

No need to apologize, Ace. Thanks for responding. :)
