IMO it's not better than any of the movies that you've voted off, this round or last. I guess that's the beauty of opinions. :)

If it goes, we can always try to vote it back on. I know I would want it back to be sure. I don't think it stands a chance this round though.

Good plan. Only 1 flaw, with so many people (are they people... I can't actually vouch for that...) voting it off, they might not want it back on.

There are actually lots of fans of the movie here (hence it being on the list) so you never know. Of course, it might just get voted back off, but what the hell? It's all for yucks anyway.

By the way, how many rounds are we going to go through?
Exacty, 10 rounds? Because that would mean 20 films come off this list.
Barely if that , about 2 to 3 should be removed.
I can't wait to see 20 films come off this list. This is turning into a not so great idea. The beauty of the original list was that it was films collaberated from all sorts of opinions. Now it will be a list of a very few opinions.

it's funny how the few people who r complaining about the voting portion r the same ones who r getting their films voted off...get over it already!!!,deal with it!!!, come to terms with it!!!!,.. it a harmless poll/thread.........this voting is a great fun idea , it will show what the majority of this forum feels is the top 100, and will eliminate films the majority feels don't belong........besides the orginal list is staying anyway...

It's not the majority of the forum at all. It is the majority of the people from this forum who are voting in this particular poll. Not the same thing. It's still fun as long as no one gets upset one way or the other, but it's not like the entire board has spoken out, case closed, whatever movie got voted off sucks!

well it's the majority of the people who have the interest to participate ....so that's what we're basing it on...;) , besides i don't care if it was 10 million participants, ginger snaps 2 would never make a top 100 list..:D

But aren't you one of first ones that started complaining about what should be on the list. ;)

Exactly.
And maybe for fun I will vote for whatever was added in OFF and the ones that got taken off I will vote to be put back ON. Considering this voting will be going on to the end of October. That means about 54 movies will be gone from the list. Unless that was a joke, were going to see a turn around.

let me also add that it's not just the films i like that should be up there, because i dislike CARRIE, and THE SHINNING , but i feel both DEFINETLY deserve to be top 100 , or even top 10 or 20....so it's not all biased opinion...

again i'm not saying these certain films r terrible or even bad for that matter, but TOP 100 they r NOT....
But that's the point, no? Its not Top 100 1-100 that YOU like. You're only supposed to vote for 2 films that YOU think deserve to be on a top 100 list. It can be any horror list. It dosen't matter if People Magazine put it out. Its the two films that YOU think should be on there. Not the other 98. The other 98 you shouldn't worry about.
Also interesting facts.
Top 100. - 50 people voted
Top 100 vote off/on - 37 people voted
Top 100 vote off/on 2 - 32 people voted
And the vote on/off weren't the same people 37 or 32.
And a few that voted on/off never even voted for the original list.
** I know its not a restricted vote or anything, so anybody has a right to post. But I just found this interesting.
So whats that all about? Dosen't that kinda show, IMO that close to half of the people that voted on the oringinal list think the list is fine?
*All this being said, I guess it really dosen't matter in the grand scheme of things. Anybody should be able to vote off/on whatever they like.

a vote on and vote off, also allows the members who haven't been able to participate in the intial poll because of work, illness or what not, it's good because it give them a voice......., why shouldn't everyone have say ?..;)

You didn't read my post , did you. You vote how you wanted to vote. Its not my problem that you voted for two films that you don't absolutely love. Obviously if you like them, then you think their great. Why would you try to please others? I don't like alot of picks up there. But they weren't MY CALL. thats the whole point.

Again, maybe you missed when I said:

Lets just say for a wild senerio. One voting day only about 10 people vote(because of work, illness, etc.. like you said) and three of those people vote out Night of Living Dead because they absolutely hate zombie movies. And the other 7 vote off various diff movies.
Well guess what? Bye Bye Night of the Living Dead.
What would you say?

With all due respect, I think you might be missing my point.
Let's take how I voted. I looked at the list, and there were some films that I would have picked and some not. So because the ones already on there I would have chosen, I had to pick some alternate titles. For me I chose a couple of movies for ME, deserve to up there. And one of my choices, was because IMO has never been done before. It had a little of everything. I love the concept. Sure there are some small downfalls in the movie. Some say it wasn't bloody, but some of the greats aren't. Either way for me, its quite a unique film.
And to me, I think that uniqueness puts it on the list. IMO I think its a good contribution to the horror genre.
Either way , take it off. Put it out of its misery.
