Moviehole reports that thanks to Sony Pictures, the anaconda's back and David Hasselhoff's got it! Following the recent trend of back-to-back small-screen sequels, Sony's doing ANACONDA 3 (subtitled THE OFFSPRING) and 4 on location in the jungles of...Romania, with Hasselhoff starring. He plays a mercenary who's hired by a billionaire to capture one of the big snakes, which—of course—holds the key to curing a terminal disease. Don E. FauntLeRoy (cinematographer on the JEEPERS CREEPERS films) directs both movies, and the cast also includes Crystal Allen and John Rhys-Davies. Both will premiere—of course—on the Sci Fi Channel before hitting Sony DVD.

I hope the Hassel gets "Hoff'd" by one of the big snakes.

The Anaconda series has been plagued by inconsistent visual effects work, as can be seen by this rather spotty first test reel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUWkySpoEC8) for some of the puppetry to be used in parts 3 and 4.

I can't explain it - but I enjoyed the first two - so I'd get these.

The first one is a guilty pleasure of mine. The second one? I barely remember it.

I'll watch these on the Sci-Fi Channel before I decide to possibly pick them up.

I enjoyed the first two also, although the second one took itself way too seriously. I might rent these.

Not a fan of the first one but I actually liked the second. These sequels....I may watch at some point but they're nowhere near the top of my "must watch" list...actually they'd prob be on my "I guess I'll watch this cause I'm bored" list.

Ehh, I love a good killer snake film... but these don't really excite me. The first two films were decent, so I might rent them eventually.
Part 1 was one of the lesser giant snake movies, I'd rather watch Boa vs. Python :D Part two usually makes it on my three worst films of all time list, it was so damned cliched and the characters so unsympathetic it actually pissed me off. Parts 3 & 4, well, the only reason to watch would be if they've got a hot babe in a tight tank top, preferably sweaty. If not, forget it.

-- I'd rather watch Boa vs. Python--
Ouch. :D
I was on a giant animal kick until I hit the brick wall that was Boa V. Python. Awful flick that one. It's not worthy of a "Worst List", or any list for that matter. :D

I really liked 1 & 2- I know the 2nd is thought to be quite inferior to the cheesy 1st one but I like them both equally- two fun movies me and my 11 year old son like to watch together

Anything premiering on Sci Fi channel doesnt have much of a chance of being any good though- They keep premiering two sequals all the time like the return of the living dead and pumpkinhead sequals- sci fi movie premieres = really really bad movies usually unwatchable

I digged part 1. Part 2 was decent. I'd check these out. Curious to see Hasselhoff in these movies. I wonder if KITT will be in it.

I liked the first two as well. I own both. All I care about are the snake attacks. If the second one had more of those I would have liked it a little more. I actually payed to see Anacondas in the theater.
