Thirteen Ghosts in scheduled to be released on BluRay in the UK and Australia next week. According to DVDTimes, it will be region free. The cheapest price I could find was £13.59 at BlahDVD (http://www.blahdvd.com/Blah/BD_Product.aspx/--Thirteen-Ghosts--?productid=BD-SBR32043-RT) which includes US Shipping (approx $28)

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc of Thirteen Ghosts on 22nd October 2007 priced at £17.99. A family inherits a spectacular glass house from an eccentric uncle that hides a terrible secret: it serves as a prison to a host of merciless spirits intent on exacting a bloody punishment on the intruders. Aided by an offbeat ghost hunter (Matthew Lillard), the family face a frantic race to escape from the haunted house before it’s too late.

So this is the remake. If this disc follows the same arc as the DVD release it'll be down to less than $5 within a week of release. $4 more than it's worth. :D

I got this today from BlahDVD, and I can confirm it's region free. The picture quality is excellent. The sets and characters look amazing.

I really enjoy the Dark Castle movies. Hopefully we'll see House On Haunted Hill and Ghost Ship on HD soon.

I'd rent Ghost Ship on Blu-Ray for sure, just to see that opening scene in 1080p :p
