Thanks, my PJ is an Optoma HD70. I had such a great experience w/ my optoma H31, why not get the HD70 and its also 720P.

I did almost get the MITSU HC1500 though....

My dvd player which I am not a huge fan of the picture quality fan of is the DVP-5982 by Phillips. It does support HDMI and converts to 1080 or 720, but in all honesty none of those options seem to get any better then 480 I or P. :(

My buddy did lend me his Playstation3 and that player looked wonderful in HDMI. I do plan to buy his or get me one here shortly. As for the phillips, there is a UPDATE firmware, but I am not fancy about doing updates or taking a chance. Player does great for $50.00 and do not expect much from that price point, but it gets the job done for what it is.
Plus its region free, plays DIVX, has USB and it accepts everything I throw at it (formats/back up dvds).

Oh- I am still not done. I left all the wires a mess behind the table b/c I am going to be getting the PS3. Once I do, my install will be clean and no wires or mess anywhere.

So much changed since back in the days.

Here's how it all started:

Back in 2004 (in the same room). Athena speaker along w/ Yamaha towers.

Oh lots and lots of demo of speakers, subs, projectors, dvd players & HD tuners.

I finally figured out that I just want to keep it clean and basic. Only for movies and video games. Of course music since I up-Graded my speakers and sub :D

I do consider that I am done at this time. I got new projects coming up and that is to restore my old Nissan Pathfinder.

Absolutey not. He ties the whole room together. I really like your set up shift.

Nice setup. :) The chairs look damn comfortable, too.

I recently acquired a projector and am really torn on how to organize the room to accommodate both the tv and PJ in a 16x12 room. Damn 32" tube tvs have some serious depth to them.

I had to get rid of those chairs, they were too comfortable. I could not ever make it through one movie w/o crashing out.

Use this room planner.

Then size all your equipment, doors, room dimms. This will help you and to find out how you should place things.
