Ordered a few things and wanna know what you all think of:
Martin

Darkman
Bad Taste
Just gathering opinions. I loved Martin, but have yet to see the others.

Those are all good movies! Bad Taste is probably the best of the lot...as long as you got the uncut (unrated) version........In fact, I would go so far to say that Bad Taste needs to be in any serious Horror DVD collection.......a great cult classic!

Cool list. Darkman is a favorite Raimi flick of mine. I wish there was a special edition though.
I'll second that what MISSIONCODEZ said about Bad Taste...
Martin is a classic of course, and Thou Shalt... is a fun and gory little cult flick.

Yes, Bad Taste is definitely a classic. Nobody's collection would be complete without it.

Unclear what you meant. Does that mean that you already ordered these or that you ordered a few other things and wanted to know about these (to merit future ordering)?

Darkman was great, too bad Sam couldn't have Bruce play the lead like intended. This needs a S.E. bigtime.
Thou Shalt Not Kill was funny, esp. Sam's overacting. If you got the Anchor Bay version (I don't know of any others) it has a comm. track with director Josh Becker and Bruce who wrote it.
Good track, but probably the weakest Campbell comm.

No I already bought them, just wanted some opinions. Maybe get a conversation going? I dunno I hadn't made a thread in awhile and decided to.
I payed about $20 for Martin, but damn DDD didn't tell me it was backordered.

Martin usually sells for near $30. 20 bucks is a good deal!

Speaking of Darkman, wouldnt it be great if there was a Director's Cut edition made for DVD? Lots of great stuff was cut out of the film to make it more entertaining for mainstream audiences. Darkman went through several cuts in the editing room. Almost none of them made Universal happy. Some cuts are a more comedic version of the film. Others are much more violent and dark. It would be great if Raimi could finally put out a version of the film that was not overseen by the dicks at Universal.

Yeah man, that'd be great, but for some reason I have a feeling it's not gonna happen anytime soon (if it all).
Anyway, I watched everything but Martin (which still hasn't shipped  ). Bad Taste kicks ass, Darkman is great, and TSNKE is alright. I was really pissed at the video quality on TSNKE though, it's pretty awful. Grainy, washed out colors, and it's from '85, so it isn't that old. But it was shot for like $30,000, so it's kind of understandable. The commentary was cool though.

I asked Bruce if he was ever offered the role of Darkman by Sam, and he said no. At the time, Bruce was trying to get away from Raimi, fearing that his reocurring starring roles in Raimi's pictures would possibly hamper Sam's future movie deals. Universal wanted a lead that had international appeal.

Bruce was offered the role of THE PHANTOM. He lost it though in the very end to Billy Zane. The Phantom wouldnt have sucked so bad with Bruce.
