I'll bet you that the scared black guy doesn't survive this remake. That was one of the few things I liked about the original.

One shot is good. The shot that rips of the last shot of Evil Dead, but with love.
The ending is great, too, but doesn't involve any main characters or events.
I really can't stand the movie anymore, to be honest.

The first 2 were pretty fun. Even the 3rd wasn't bad. You should definitely check them out at least once.
Sal should've lived. He was bad ass. If they have his character in this one and he makes it out, I'm sold.

I have no problem with this being remade. The original had moments, but mostly it was nothing spectacular.

I loved this movie - it was a fun evil dead type film from the 80's- but I have no idea why it should or would be remade- oh well seems they are remaking absolutely every movie that ever existed these days.... But reading what they have on this it seems characters are missing and Hull House is no longer the name? huh? I agree with what one guy posted- why even call this a remake - why not just make it its own movie- I dunno the whole thing sounds like a bad idea but I hope I am wrong...

If there's a lipstick through the nipple scene, then it gets the thumbs up from me.

Well I can agree there- that scene and the part where Angela is dancing to Stigmata Martyr by Bauhaus is classic!
Personally I kind of think that Night of the Demons has already been remade, atleast unintentionally. I found 1999's House on Haunted Hill to be very derivative of Night of the Demons. I still enjoyed it though.

Right on. It'll be a black female who kicks ass and saves the day. :fuck:

I liked this trilogy. Still pining for the third to get region 1 treatment.

Really? That always pissed me off. Well not the fact that he lived, but the fact that he lived and Sal died.

Right here on this site, in this part of the message board. Someone posted news in another "NotD" remake thread.

I was browsing some UK Horror 'zine import in Hastings the other day (forgot the name now), which had a lengthy article with quite a few production photos and interview snippets on the remake. It might be promising...
The plot sounds as though it will be quite different from the original, and the only character name being the same as the original film will be "Angela", played by Shannon Elizabeth as mentioned earlier in this thread. Linnea Quigley will also have a cameo in the film.

I am one of the few that never really loved the original (Although I liked it enough to buy it and its two sequels), so a remake is fine with me. Hopefully they can fix all the problems I had with the original which in all honestly, other then the bookends, wasn't a great film in my opinion.
