I guess Mario Bava is not well known here but he has done some very nice things.
Including the now available western:

(strange Xploited is still stocking new stuff...)

Oh I'm sure he's well known, members were clamoring over both of the AB boxset. But a non-R1 release of a Western doesn't exactly light up the board.

I'm definitely interested, but not sure how good it is.
Plus many (NOT ALL) people here are interested in the HORROR, not the WESTERN. It is a Horror forum after all.

I think what I heard was business is going to be normal until the end of July, after that he will begin the process of slowing down.

Ah,I guess that's the reason why there's a three page thread about Inglorious Bastards...

Only because of its recent popularity due to the REMAKE. Not because people were interested in seeing a 1970's low budget Exploitation WWII film made by the Italians.

Yeah, old films are bad...and everyone here likes remakes...

I have no problem with older films, and feel Inglorious Bastards by ENZO is going to an AMAZING, EXCITING, and FUN war picture. Typical Italian exploitation.
Unfortunately, not everyone thinks like that...
Plus, no one is saying that "old films are bad, everyone here likes remakes". Your taking my point to an unneeded extreme.

Rather than start an entirely new thread, I figured I'd post here:
What M. Bava Films (or TV) are still not available on DVD (in any region) yet? Any Bava-philes have the answer to that? Seems like to me like there are only a few... of ones that are considered truly his maybe "Ringo del Nebraska" and his few TV works...?

Bava made a spaghetti western? Fuck, I'm in. Westerns are awesome!

Im surprised that a lot of people on this forum are not into Spaghetti Westens. They have a lot to offer.
I need to pick this disk up. Looks like xploited is out of stock.

Yeah, really. And considering they're quite violent and bloody.

At the risk of hijacking this thread I suggest hunting down Face to Face (Sergio Sollima, 1967) - it is incredible. If you like Spag. Westerns that is...
Yeah - I'm just trying to clarify what is out there still to be released from Bava...

i have this release
very good A/V quality, the movie itself is a standard western (more modelled on US westerns) but with, at times, the lighting patterns that he applied in his horror movies
i wasn't blown away with it, but it's a nice addition to your collection - great release by Koch
