We've long been very insular when it comes to our members, making it tough for new blood to join our forums. We like our tight-knit community but it's summer, the forum is kicking - so fuck it. The flood gates are open, the registration is fixed, and we're giving an open call for all you readers to come in and post on our active forums. Throw political correctness out of the window, get ready to sift through hundreds of remake announcements, and prepare to bask in all news and discussion that is horror. New and old, homegrown and overseas, DVD and Blu-ray, it's all here, so come on in and liven the joint up.

Jooooooooin us! (http://horrordvds.com/vb3forum/register.php)

Yeah, I'd say forget it when it comes to the Code Red site. Best to go through the BCI site (http://www.navarre.com/bci.aspx).

If it's about dwatts we usually let it slide. If it's about Dave's ex-wife, well, those pictures go in Freaks and Geeks.

Thanks for the welcome. I honestly don't know why I never posted. These forums are just entertaining as Hell. This is always the first site I go to to get the inside scoop on new horror dvd releases. I'm trying to ween myself off of IMDB.

Damn, been on here almost two years. That was my first post :/

I thought ya'll would never accept me, haha...been a member for a bit but don't post too much, it always did feel kinda exclusive, but i understand why. Like someone else said, this is the first stop on my daily websurfing routine and I can honestly say, I've learned so much about horror flicks new and old thanks to many of the old school posters on this forum, thank you! Now if I could only figure out how to make one of them there avatar thingys...

I've also been visiting this site for several years now but never joined the forums til now. You guys have helped me build my horror dvd collection. Everytime I thought about buying another film, the reviews on this site ALWAYS, and I do mean ALWAYS gave me the best advice and detailed information to make a wise choice.

This posting is starting to become addictive. Thanks for letting me share my two cents!!:

I, for one, am extremely happy and grateful that the "flood gates" were thrown wide open, as that how I got in, as it were.

I've been a faithful reader of horrordvds.com for years, and, so far, really dig the foums. Nice conversation, no pointless bashing, and, most of all, there seems to be a rather small group of regulars that keep this place up, running, and kicking.

A brief intro : I'm a 25 year old horror/comic book geek from PA. I'm a tattoo artist with a BA in Graphic Design. Among my fav horror fliks are "Evil Dead 2 : Dead by Dawn", "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (With a birthname like "Freddie" how can I not be? Yeah, I know, my folks spelt it wrong, lol, guess they couldn't see into the future), "Creepshow", "Halloween", "John Carpenter's The Thing", Romero's "dead" series, bava's "Demons", and "Hellraiser", among others. Aside from horror fliks, I also love comic book fliks, some comedies, and a pile of action and sci-fi fare.

Like i said, i'm a comic book geek as well, so any thread about comics or movies based on comics will have my eyes glued to'em. Hmm....What else? I mentioned that I was a tattoo artist. I've been tattooing profesionally for 4 years (after a 2 years apprenticeship) and it's probably my biggest passion in life. Tattooing/studying the works of masters/working opn technique/reading books on the history of it (especially western tattooing) takes up about 75% of my waking hours. Just one more thing to geek out over I guess.

Anywho, sorry to bore you with the long rambling post. As I said, i'm happy to be here and hope to contribute wherever I can.

I also have been a regular visitor for many years of this site. Seeing the gates open I thought why not join, the fourms have always been good to read. I'm 39, Aussie and have loved horror ever since I can remember. I am now just starting to build a blu-ray collection and am looking forward to many releases in the new format over the coming few years.
