View Full Version : Other than The Beyond (which I own), which Fulci movies do you consider his best?

I have narrowed the list of movies to those that I can find in stores near where I live and the most talked about movies here on the board.

My second favorite Fulci film is City of the Living Dead. Get it!

Id have to go for `New York Ripper` because of its sleazy and down right slashy tone...a grim little movie which gives you a humorous injection between all the sleaze and carnage with a mega annoying donald duck impersonation from the ripper! Plus the fact that the film was soo offensive to our censors here in the UK that the print under review was escorted out of the country, gives it a special place in my heart! hehe
I must say although i like the atmosphere in COTLD im not a major fan of the movie and HBTC seems to be on the same level to me..and possibly the fact that Alessandra Delli Colli is in the Ripper makes me like it all the more...excuse me if im talking crap but jack daniels seems to be getting the better of me at this precise moment in time :p

Sorry, but even if The Beyond was on this poll, I wouldn't have voted for it. It isn't Fulci's best in my opinion, but is his fourth best. COTLD is his best, followed by New York Ripper, then Zombie, and then The Beyond. Anyways, I voted for COTLD obviously.

I can't vote cuz I can't decide between Ripper and City.
House would be right there too, except for that kids annoying dubbed voice.
What about Zombie? I'd vote that just above Ripper & City.

No vote from me, because I would like to vote for Zombie.

Zombie is no1 for me also, but unlike most of you I went for House by the Cemetery which sits up their with City of the living Dead IMHO.

Out of the ones on the list, I voted for New York Ripper. The film is just nasty in it's overall feel. And I liked the pacing of the film. Although, I would have voted for Zombie if it would have been on the list.

Haven't seen Duckling yet, but I doubt I'd like it as much as City of the Living Dead or House By the Cemetary.
