We've done the best Child's Play movie in the past, but which one is the worst? Each one has a pretty different tone and approach from the others, so there should be a good deal of variety in the responses. So without further adieu, which Child's Play film do you like least?

Easily Child's Play 3 for me. The only one I didn't thoroughly enjoy, mainly because I found it dull, dull, dull.

Child's Play 3 for me as well. It was a cool concept, but ultimately a pretty forgettable film.

I have to agree with the rest of you on this one, child's play 3 was pretty lame.

Child's Play 3 by a longshot.

Surprised to see the hatred Seed is receiving.

I saw Bride of Chucky in the theater when I was in college (so I was drunk). It remains the only film to ever make one of my friends puke in the theater. Glorious.

Otherwise, I still have yet to see Seed, and while 3 did freak me out with the whole "live bullets" scene, I guess it'll have to get my vote, because the actor who played Andy was nowhere near as awesome as the original.

i vote Child's Play 3, it was really stupid, very forgetable!

i really like the first one as a good horror film, and part is more of dark comedy to me, i love that one.

I kind of like them all, but if I had to pick a weak link, it would be Child's Play 3.

Seed of Chucky. After that debacle the only thing they really can do is a remake if they want anyone to take the series seriously.

I hated Seed. Bride wasn't terribly great, but I liked the first three.

Seed is by far the worst of the series. I really dislike it.

Was torn between bride and Seed but Seed got my vote. I like the film don't get me wrong when you put all the films together though seeds definatly has the weekest story, Chuckys taken way to far from his original roots in this one.

The first 3 are easily the best IMO, as they follow a continuity and the feel of the films is still quite dark.

Seed of Chucky. After that debacle the only thing they really can do is a remake if they want anyone to take the series seriously.

The "left the town of Serious, now bound for Slapstick" train departed long before Seed. While the first one could be argued to be serious - as serious as a movie about a killer Cabbage Patch Kid can be - things took a turn towards frustrated Wile E. Coyote level antics in the second movie. The ending of that movie was practically a gag reel of "lets fuck with Chucky" - amputations, body modifications, meltings, etc. The third movie just took it up a notch, with the amusement park demise equally convoluted. Yes, the ending of the first film put Chucky through the ringer, but each film seemed more intent to up the ante to the point where it ceased being gruesome and simply became cartoonish.

After three films essentially about a red headed doll repeatedly stymied at every turn only to be beaten like a red headed step child in the end, its little wonder the series fully turned down the camp road for the fourth installment. It really didn't have much choice IMO, the damn series had become a punchline, and did Jason and Freddy *really* need pint sized company in their pantheon of endless rehashes of well trodden turf? And in that respect the fourth film did a decent job of it, it accepted the joke and decided to go camp, and it did it in style. The fifth film really can't be blamed for following that tradition, it strove for the same over the top style and IMO was nearly on par with the fourth in hitting that mark.

Bride of Chucky was amazing!

I haven't seen Seed of Chucky all the way through. So it's down to either Child's Play 2 and Child's Play 3. Both absolutely horrible movies. Great special effects. Good production values. Bad stories. Bad acting. Chucky doing a Freddy Krueger impression, when people already complain constantly about Freddy's stand-up routine...

I voted for part 3. Just because "Andy" was really annoying in military school. But... darn it to hell, I actually really liked the girl playing his love interest. She could have done a lot better than him. Isn't that a bitch? I hate almost all the characters in part 2, but I like most of the characters in part 3. But, part 2 had that great scene in the doll factory at the end.

I've watched Child's Play 3 the most (I recorded it off SuperChannel as a kid), so I am a bit predisposed to liking it. Plus, I could never hate the line, "Chucky's gonna be a bro!"

I hate Seed of Chucky! Even if thereīs few good things, this movie sucks. Otherwise I would vote for Chucky 3, dumb stupid sequel but at least the ending didnīt denied the existence of sequels. Other Chucky entries are OK.

The movie is about a father who kills two men who rape his child. Chucky Cheese takes precautions to protect children, but this could have taken place.

The Child's Play films are fun, the first being a cult gem with a very cool premise; an evil soul trapped inside a popular toy doll.

I would have to say that Seed of Chucky was the worst installment, because the satire of the franchise was already claimed with Bride of Chucky which was witty and amusing. With Seed of Chucky, well, it got old quick and you're left with just a bad flick. I did like the John Waters cameo though, and Brad Dourif is always worth a view, or in this case, a listen.
