Nope, but it sounds great! :) If it's done well, I generally enjoy the melding of the two genres. It has some good actors, and was filmed in Santa Fe...which I love to visit.
It looks like Lionsgate will release it on DVD in April 2009.

I REALLY dug this movie... saw it tonight at The Bloor Cinema... Rue Morgue presented it etc... really nifty... cool creatures... :)
JT Petty is one weird fellow though... hahaha... and sadly, this will go straight to DVD he said...

cast looks like fun! I'm also a big fan of the two genres coming together. Looking forward to this.

I checked this one out today and liked it quite a bit. Good acting and some nice cinematography taking advantage of the landscape. It also does a very good job and makes an honest effort in melding the two genres. This is a sub genre that needs to be explored a bit more.

I saw this a while back. I actually was able to rent it. It bored me to tears to be honest. There was very little CGi though. If you watch the film documentary the monsters were people in outfits. The effects were pretty good and well done. Still the film just bored me to no end. I still think I'm just a minority here & most people might actually enjoy it allot more.

I found this to be a pretty good film, drones on a bit too long and takes a while to get to the meat of the story, but if you're a fan of westerns and horror flicks, it's a safe bet you'll enjoy it. Nice creepy atmosphere, very good acting, and it was shot extremely well.

It was indeed a little slow paced at times, but overall an effective little flick for what it is. It was definitely worth a rental, though I wouldn't really recommend it as a blind buy...unless cheap.

I'm a pretty big fan of westerns and they tend to be slowly paced as a whole, so I ended up really enjoying this. Definitely glad I gave it a look, I wasn't disappointed.

gotta say i really wanted to like this. it had some great cinematography, some actors i like (clancy brown needs to work more), and some scenes that worked well. unfortunately the movie was less than the sum of its parts. i wouldn't recommend this to anyone. but i would watch another movie by JT Petty. I hope his next is better.

Clancy Brown is in my top 5 all-time favorite actors, he's always fantastic. So yeah, more Clancy Brown roles = awesome.

This turned out to be a good movie. And I'll buy it when the price goes down.

This didn't do much for me at all. Like others have said, I found it pretty slow and dull. I did like the characters, but could not stay motivated to keep watching without alot of pauses.

Just watched it. I thought that despite the fact that it is slow, it is pretty damn good. It does develop substantially throughout.
I don't like watching slow films in the theatre, but at home on a nice couch and with control over the pause function on the remote, it works really well.
I think I might give this one a try. Hopefully its stocked at blockbuster so I dont have to buy it. The western/horror hybrid sounds interesting.

I really enjoyed this flick. Great atmosphere, plenty of downbeat moments, creeepy premise.
I thought it was random that two of the actors have smaller parts on the Lost TV show. Clancy Brown is great in this, for sure.
I definitely recommend folks check it out. Keep in mind that the box says it runs 124 minutes, but I clocked it at ~90. So the ending caught me a bit off guard.

Wonderful cinematography and great performances by Clancy Brown and Doug Hutchison. I loved the opening, with Maryanne and Fergus. I didn't have a problem with the pacing at all--felt like a Western taking its time.
It was when the CGI overwhelmed the film that I had problems staying interested. Terrible creature CGI, but they looked solid enough when we caught glimpses of actual effects. Disappointing.
Yet, the film was still a nice viewing. The ending surprised me.

Just watched this. For a straight to video flick this was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised. Decent gore, creepy atmosphere and original overall. I thought the acting and story were well done. There's not enough horror movies that take place in the old West. Definitely worth a rent at the very least.
